His energy at the back end of the game was the turning point imo.

I don't think that he was ever going to be considered for the #1 spot if Tedesco wasn't going to be coming. We've probably would have kept Flash for another and rushed Mitchell again to be up to speed by 2019. Watson would be 3rd in line without Tedesco.

That left edge just needs the strong presence of Boyd Cordner. Desperately.

I think Keary goes ok in defence. He will always be targeted by edge runners and he generally does a good job. You only have to see the way he runs the ball at the line to see how tough the kid is. I was only thinking Saturday when I saw him getting smashed a couple of times when they didn't fall for his dummy, how much braver a player he is than Soward was.Embrace the Hate! JC

I was hoping he would just stay to learn, but to be honest that's pretty selfish. The kid will learn a lot more by playing fullback at Tigers, even if they are tough lessons.Embrace the Hate! JC

From a short term financial pov Connor should leave the roosters, but from a footy pov I don't think it's clear cut. He could be thrown into the deep end with a struggling team and perhaps suffer.
If he stays at the roosters for one more year and develops nicely it could work out better.
