Maybe a bone broth, miso, ramen with roast pork, bok choy, and noodles style soup.
I was bemoaning what I was going to make for dinner this morning and the eldest suggested a ramen which I’ve never made before. Apparently he would buy one occasionally before moving back home. I said I will need to look for a good recipe and try and make one in the future but not today.

There are loads of different recipes online. Pick one that resonates and only use ingredients that you like. Eg - I like corn but not in my soup! Mushrooms are a must for me! Ready made stock is good however making your own adds another dimension and more depth of flavour to the soup. I use the pressure cooker for my stock. Fresh ginger and garlic are superior than using them in powder or ready to go jar form.

Thanks for the tips. Will do some research for a recipe when I get a chance.

        • Breakfast is pumpkin seed and walnut bread from my friend's bakery as she deliverd a loaf to me earlier this week. Having it with almond butter, green juice and a lemon/ginger tea.

I had a combination wonton soup at my local shopping centre for lunch today and while i was waiting someone ordered a chicken and sweet corn soup and it looked yummy, i haven't had one for years.

                  • White bait fritters with salad laced with feta and then mussels done in a lovely tomato and chili broth. Perfect Sunday night dinner.

Sourdough toast rubbed with a garlic clove makes a great mop for all the left over sauce.

I like to make my toast on a cast iron griddle pan.

I often do sourdough like that with garlic rubbed on it at home, don't have a griddle pan though. Last night was dining out and they did give us some nice toasted soughdour with it.

Spag Bol tonight, going to the left over roast chicken from Saturday night for tomorrow nights dinner.
