  • Last night was just going to get a take away Coles chicken to have with wedges and salad for a easy dinner but when i got to Coles no chickens ready but they had an almost 2.5 k chicken reduced to $7 so bought that and roasted it, still had the wedges and salad with it but have plenty left over for a proper roast tomorrow, doing all the roast veges with it.

Tonight doing a tex mex style mince with chilli and kidney beans.

    • Taco Monday here.

My Saturday roast chook was a winner, but continuing with the potato dramas, I had the chickens in the oven for about 30 minutes when I discovered the batch of brushed potatoes I bought were terrible with black bits all through the insides. I had to send the other half for an emergency trip to Cole’s for some red potatoes. Luckily they all cooked up nicely in the end.

                  • Lamb chops with risoni done in one pot or baking dish from Helena and Vikki's Taking You Home cook book. Looks a simple recipe that can be done in the oven or stove top, will be the first time trying it tonight.
