I watched the Spanion's latest episode last night. He asked his members to post their favourite take away food hacks on his feed and gave a number of them a go. He scored them out of 10. I can't remember all the scores however the donut scored the highest then followed by the butter chicken.
1. Hungry jacks whopper with salt and vinegar chips and hot sriracha
2. Meat Pie with a melted kitkat inside.
3. Egg and lettuce sandwich from 7/11 with salt and vinegar chips
4. Krispy Kreme donut with KFC chicken fillet
5. KFC spice wings with butter chicken sauce. (I will try this one with home made devil wings )
6. Maccas quarter pounder with a fillet of fish and chicken fillet
7. Kebab with spicy twisties.

Love when the nectarines are in season. Better half makes peach sorbet when the peaches are cheap and have it in the freezer to make peach bellini's. Depending on what we are having will sometimes do peach cut into halves on the BBQ.Originally posted by mightyrooster View PostI love stone fruits in summer. And rockmelon.

They are so juicy and a beautiful flavour. The apricots in the supermarkets have been pretty ordinary this year though. Peaches are nice too and that peach sorbet sounds so good for a hot summers day…or week as is the case here at the moment.Originally posted by horrie hastings View Post

BBQ this evening, have potatoes, zucchini, mushrooms, tomato and onion to do on the BBQ, may even do a cob of corn also, just have to decide on what protein to take out of the freezer, have a wealth of different sausages, steaks, lamb steaks, lamb chops, chicken breast which i could marinade, leaning towards some thin sausages and maybe lamb steak or might just do a nice piece of steak.Last edited by horrie hastings; 01-26-2026, 11:38 AM.

Nectarines are my hands down favourites, never really liked eating peaches whole because of the fuzz on the skin but love them now done as a sorbet or grilled on the BBQ or hot plate. Apricots i can take or leave, don't dislike them but not near the top of the list for me either.Originally posted by mightyrooster View Post

lol, I agree with you on the fuzz. I actually peel it off. That probably makes me sound strange but….i confess.Originally posted by horrie hastings View Post
