      Doing drugs is idiotic.

Doing drugs overseas is ridiculously stupid.

Doing drugs in Asia is mind-numingly dumb.

Reminds me of these people i was on a European Tour with back in the mid 1980's - Our last days where in Amsterdam - They purchased a fair amount of cannabis from various coffee shops with the intention of bringing it back to Australia to give to friends etc - also as we were flying home from London to Australia via Thailand they were going to spend a few days in Bangkok ( it was in winter the European Tour).

They didn't know or realise they said that this was illegal and or the ramifications of doing this especially in Thailand where customs would find the cannabis for certain in their luggage - drug detection dogs were around then I think?

The Coffee shops wouldn't take the cannabis back so they virtually gave it away to locals for a fraction of the price they paid for it.

One thing that is true is how much trouble he is. I imagine he is in a cell right now. Most likely he will spend up to a month in a cell before being deported and marked never to return. As a rugby player in Japan he is a company employee of NEC so it is almost a given that he has been terminated from his contract.

Such s shame but he made an idiotic decision and he has really disgraced himself.
everything is about ism's personal life, his athletic achievments, netball or his marriage , don't you know this ?

Sadly I have picked this up His stories seem to change as well. A couple of months ago he was talking about his time in a small country town but now he is an expert on the entertainment districts of Tokyo. Actually, Jism described the Ropongi distict where Fergo got in trouble pretty differently to how I view it. Ropongi is quite upmarket and is as much a shopping and business district as anything else. It is known for nightlife though.

Whether ism is making it up or it did happen or a bit of both his stories are hilarious at times.

haha that won't fly in Japan. He absolutely will be treated as a foreigner though which is lucky for him. If it was weed it would be simpler but in my opinion there is a genuine chance he serves a short sentence or is at the least held in a cell for a period while his future is determined. The way Japanese view these types of things in general is that they are quite offended that a foreign guest would choose to behave this way in Japan. For drug offenses the Japanese tend to deal with foreigners differently to local Japanese.

Yeah the one bonus is that they're not a dictatorship looking to make an anti-western statement outta him. He'll possibly just get sent home and told 'please don't come back'.

Losing his contract would be a massive loss IMO. Doubt he's one of those dudes who has earned a huge amount or invested it all that wisely. I reckon he woulda been relying on that rugby $$$ to top-up his retirement package. Slime Ankle earned something crazy like $1m a year over there and he wasn't even 1st grade in league.

IMO some of these guys really do need to know how to keep it low-key. With Fergo's income, I could buy him an awesome night out in Tokyo with no fights or sniffy sniffy.

He took a much bigger financial hit a year or so ago -

Yes there is no "no fault" stand down policy - he's been sacked - No Ferguson San either

“Regarding Ferugson, the player contract was cancelled on January 2nd,” the club confirmed in a statement on January 3.

32 in March 2022- may get a suspended sentence and be deported at best - not sure if the NRL will register any contract though so his last option would be French Rugby money wise.

Can't see him playing on in League and playing Ron Massey Cup or Sydney Shield or NSW Cup as a non NRL squad player.

Has to get a proper job

Thankfully, we have signed a couple of backs so lets hope that one doesn't get started. I'm really shaking my heard at how stupid Fergo is. He really a blew a chance to make some good money and experience something different in the twilight of his career.
