Another negative for Fergo according to my wife is that with Japan's recent success in Rugby Union the sport has a much higher profile and thus the potential for greater public outrage.

Losing his contract would be a massive loss IMO. Doubt he's one of those dudes who has earned a huge amount or invested it all that wisely. I reckon he woulda been relying on that rugby $$$ to top-up his retirement package. Slime Ankle earned something crazy like $1m a year over there and he wasn't even 1st grade in league.
IMO some of these guys really do need to know how to keep it low-key. With Fergo's income, I could buy him an awesome night out in Tokyo with no fights or sniffy sniffy.

Maybe. The race card won't work in Japan like it works here so that won't be an option. No point getting Choc involved to talk about Ferguson's tortured up bringing blah blah blah

5 years hard labour in a Japanese prison for what Fergo is supposed to have done? No, that is not fair.
Japan should have Tourist Police to deal especially with foreigners.
Australia sent the body of the captain of one the Japanese mini subs that fired torpedoes around Sydney harbour...the sub located in recent times...back to his family.
Japan should return the favour by returning Fergo alive back to his family.
14 days in drug rehab, then deportation would be a fair sentence.

Japanese sovereign nation, Japanese laws, Japanese culture, but Japan really should be seeing possession of small amounts of cocaine for personal use as a health issue not a crime...in 2022.

Easy to say, but I believe, given its past, Japan still owes Australia/ns some favours.

Yes and that favor according to you is to let Fergo do some coke? As I said you are a troll, go back under your bridge. Even better, go and get yourself a case of Omicron so you can build up some natural immunity and you can stop rambling about Covid.

The sub located in recent times - no bodies or remains have been returned.
CANBERRA (Reuters) - The bodies of two Japanese sailors who attacked Sydney Harbour in 1942 will be left in the wreck of their midget submarine, Australian authorities said on Tuesday.

The cremated remains of the 4 Japanese Sailors from the 2 mini subs pulled from Sydney Harbour where returned to Japan in late 1942
The RAN also recognised the bravery of the four Japanese submariners recovered from the two submarines destroyed in the harbour. They too were accorded a funeral with naval honours at Rookwood Cemetery, a gesture much appreciated in later years by the Japanese. The cremated remains of the submariners were returned to Japan two months later as part of an arranged diplomatic exchange.
