Sam Walker played the worst game of his career, which he deserved after mouthing off in the media this week claiming us to be the best team in the comp and giving all this “if we play our best” and “on our day” type quotes.

good sides don’t need to use such caveats. They just play well every week.


ultimately though we have just chalked up yet another mediocre robbo season where we are all at sea most of the year, throw it together for a 6 weeks to scrape into finals, then go out with a whimper. I don’t know if robbo has it in him to get us any further than this

gee tough loss, but even tougher coming on this forum for some postgame respite, and being rewarded with morons like you.

the first try rob shot out of the line, and mark was marking three, and the second try was off the walker error where mark was on the other side running down burns and hynes.

Absolutely right. Mark was the best player on the field tonight by the length of the straight and he must be retained at all costs. We’ve never before seen a player that can do the things that he does and I’d love to see what he could do at fullback when Ted retires.

We've had a fantastic year from where we started once Robbo flicked Chad and Dom.
The highlight for me is the unearthing of some genuine young talent in Hugo, Foketi and Steeps who is destined to take over the Cords and Gus left edge for us.
I might be looking through rose coloured glasses but I've been thoroughly convinced that this team has a comp in them within two years.
Keep the faith we might have burnt the boats this year but we are building to a hell of a footy team.

Skinny 10 whole game chocked us ..2 of the 4 bunker flips resulted them in scoring and yes Walker was crap.Team couldn't adapt to the game..all they had to do was get deeper..which they did a.maybe 3 times...they were flat all night.Dissapointed in Collins and Spencer very soft.Watson was rubbish too .Only Teddy And Marky mark had a go.

Felt like the panicky attack in the first half was all about getting the ball to Mark's wing on every raid.

Our playmaker's were poor.

And you can't expect to go far into the finals when you turn over possession and crippling yardage penalties like we did tonight.

Still, Cronulla's defence was excellent.

I think they could go further than everyone seems to think.

Enough possession to win the game but attack looked disjointed and the only really attacking threat was from Marky Mark. Think Rads got injured early reeling out of a tackle which possibly dismissed the attacking flow. Billy looked incapable of making a break and Rob for all his good attack wasn't able to get any off loads. Toops never had a chance to score and Sammy only produced and executed 1 scoring play. Defence generally top shelf but needed to have way less mistakes if not scoring tries. Felt a game to be won and disappointing not to be able to go around next week.
