Roosters v Sharks Post Game Thoughts

I'm not sure I've seen so much drop ball from us since the dark days of SKD 'Flipper Hands' Dowell.

I understand it was damp out there.

But holy s**t.

That was a game that was literally thrown away. It was ours to win, and we beat ourselves.

The other aspect was Sharks goal line defence. They had us covered largely, despite us making big meters downfield.

The reliance on Marky Mark bit us big time there. Our attack down the business end of the field is not multidimensional enough.

The positive is, we aren't losing anyone next year (to my recollection), so this squad will be hungry and determined to go further next year.

Not the worst handling this season but we were our own worst enemies. Uncharacteristic errors from people who don’t normally make them… Teddy in the middle, Watson’s dud pass, smith over the sideline…

Robson should fix a few problems next year, DCE probably gets first dibs on the halfback spot.

Errors errors errors. 2 tries to them directly from our mistakes. Had them on the ropes and failed to knock them out. Some dumb footy going to marky all game

as poor as we played it was 2 tries a piece until their last try. wouldn't have taken much for us to jag it.
a disappointing end but an enjoyable season.

our middle got dominated - having only 3 props doesn’t help when they had 6 (we need a good 4th middle)

the first try rob shot out of the line, and mark was marking three, and the second try was off the walker error where mark was on the other side running down burns and hynes.
