A hard loss as they are a better team than what was shown against the Sharks. Most of the seasons frustrating loses due to the opponents line speed and being allowed to play off side. Our mind set doesn’t handle the pressure nor adjusts by playing with any depth. Playing with depth as seen in previous weeks saw little errors and importantly the even shake from the refs and not stop start games. Pressure was on as soon as it was known with the appointment of ref Smug Smiff.

Robson will fix the dummy half problem we are still a bit light in the bench and back row imo

I'm feeling okay. Walked the dog, grabbed a coffee at a cafe and the (Turkish) owner pulled out his guitar to play a bit of a tune & sing. Love it!!!

Fark that game was horseshyte though. Not even just Walker TBH. Teddy also missed a sitter from Crichton and all our errors seemed to happen right at the worst possible moment. It was as if all the stars aligned for a heavily defeated Cronulla... all their tries came off us gifting them tries (literally 'here... gonna pass the ball forward to you so that you can run 80m brother') rather than them building any kind of pressure.

            Agree mate
a hollow and say feeling this morning of what could have been
our worst performance for the last few months
we needed to compete at over 80% to be a chance

like 2022 and 23 in 25 we had to go in a late season run playing finals for 2 months so we need to start the season better for a chance at top 4 next year

injuries were on our side this year for the first in many actually fielding our best side a few times and all but fit for the finals which gave us confidence

good similar squad next year to 2 handy additions will only improve us next year

It was fitting that Angus came up with idea to wear the 2002 white shorts, and also Angus that provided the biggest turning point with the dumb penalty before halftime. Let's just ignore all the ill-discipline which cost us many close games this year and wear the white shorts.

Strangely, while I’m disappointed, I’m not as heartbroken as I usually am when our season ends. I guess I never really thought that our inconsistency would allow us to win more than a couple of finals games. It’s too big an ask for such an inexperienced group of play-makers do keep icing big games.

We’ll be stronger next year. Robson will have a real positive impact, with both better service from dummy half and his defensive workload. If we do end up with DCE, I hope his experience is a positive for us, but I’m still not sold on him.

Now I just have to live through the Raiders hysteria in my wife’s family. Sigh.

I'm ok with it actually . Sharks were better.

We won more than we lost 13 /12 , discounting trials in a rebuild.

Only panthers and storm can do that , well b better next year.

They are chokers, we were so bad last night that I’d back the Titans to have done the job against us. Good for Fitzy and Cronulla but there’s no way they go any further than next week. Cannon fodder.

We were so so poor. I’d say it’d be up there as one of Sam Walker’s worst games for us. So many errors from forwards. Players like Radley just look like a spent force, why did he get 80 on an edge? Much like Rads, Billy Smith’s form has fallen off a cliff since he’s pretended that he’s English.

Just a terrible way to end the season and a waste after we played some good footy to get in the 8 in the first place. Again Robbo must be questioned with how it’s possible such a talented team can be so poor and under prepared in a game.

We have a generational athlete playing for us in Marky. One of the best players in the comp and in his prime, probably only has a season left with us and we’ve wasted his talents. He was best on the field in a well beaten side playing on the wing. There are positives to take out of the season but absolutely no positives to take out of that bedshit of a performance last night. Woeful.

Errors and penalties aside, the young hooker played 21mins then sat on the bench the rest of the game, he took a spot off another big man which we needed.

i thought with the twin towers they would've bombed to them more than they did.

Sammy was quiet compared to recent weeks form.

We were 8th on the ladder and were treated Like the 8th place team and ejected from the first week of the finals, nothing unusual there.

Depends how today's game goes, not sure any of the teams I have seen play so far look like world beaters.

Penrith look the most likely as Cleary is the one x factor all the others wish they had.

Hopefully the raiders go out in straight sets, the strap on Canberra supporters around town are already annoying me.

Sharks deserved the win,we saved one of our worst games of the season for last night.

Which makes me think, all of Robbo’s pre game talk of building the season to get to this point, now it’s time to deliver. All we are focused on is tomorrow night blah blah blah
When asked about how far the team has come he answered “you’ll see it tomorrow night” with a confident smirk..

I like him as a Coach and believe he can win us another premiership, but concerned how the team plays opposite to his expectations based in his comments pre game, makes no sense..
