I'll always remember SKD for standing up to be counted...when it counted...in the 2013 Grand Final.
Bashed, smashed, and trashed...and his jaw broken...he steamed up on the outside and took the last pass to score the 'Bondi bobbydazzler' try that basically sealed the match.

I reckon SKD was an awesome clubman, and I truly wish him well in his future (professionally & health),,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,but I'll make 2 comments. (or maybe 4)

1. There will never be, nor IMO , was there ever a more 'Rocks and Diamonds' player in Rugby League, that was somehow allowed to remain in firsts. Never, Ever.
2. I'm 47, and a very passionate roosters fan. Yep, probably even too passionate. BUT, I have never, and I doubt I will ever feel as SHOCKED / PISSED OFF as I did, when SKD threw 'that attempted pass' to RTS in 2015 final v Broncos.

Agree, Disagree.............I'd love to know what you guys think.


Just like to add, that I've never seen a worse international performance than that of SKD for NZ last year.

Also, I think his negative moments far out-weighed his positive moments in the RWB.

I sort of agree, you cannot look back on his career without thinking about the highs and lows. At his best he was devastatingly good, at his worst, devastatingly bad. I personally think at least for this year we are a better side without him and believe Joey Manu has far more upside in the future than SKD could have delivered.

thats settled it for me on top of dumping skd before he even went to court we now have two home games as members we pay extra to go to, next year ill get the cheapest 4 game package, just so i can get to the grand final iff needed? ok ,its a business so ill withhold my funds as a customer!

I was never a fan of SKD and thought he was more a liability than an asset to our Club!
I am glad he has moved on and wish him all the best in future endeavours!

Will you also be making no further comment on this matter?

stephen mate i agree duty your last statement its all money to them theres no need to give up your hard earned on recycled merchandise and tickets youre a fan regardless

Sad to see his career end this way, would have been nice for him to get a farewell game so the fans could say goodbye. As other have alluded to we will never get the full story behind it all as I am sure there is more to it. But I am a Roosters supporter and SKD only played for it so thanks for the service and good luck to your future.

I was never SKD's biggest fan but rocks n diamonds always bled red white and blue. Thanks for the memories especially the 2010 game against the Broncos in which he scored 4 mest pies, the 2010 final against the Tigers and of course the 2013GF. Other games plenty of good, tonnes of tries and some bad moments and games lol. He also seemed to be a good bloke when having a chat with him, was always nice to my daughter and exes daughters whenever they asked for a photo or autograph. Hope he can secure a final contract somewhere e.g.the Knights.

Perhaps skd has signed a contrac with say Newcastle, asked the club for a release and the roosters let him go and in the process kept sponsors pleased? Perhaps Sean waiting out cooling off period and allow fans time to focus on next issue in the game.....

Very sorrry to see Shaun go in such circumstances one of my favourite all time Roosters. Hopefully a stint in the UK Super League. dont really want to see him playing for someone else in our comp.

So if SKD gets off with a Section 10 & signs with Newcastle before June 30 then he potentially plays against us in Round 20 at SFS.
