That is a straight out lie. There have been 3 deaths in Scotland contributed to vaccination. I don't know where you "Critical Thinkers" get you information but I'm guessing it's from people like Alan Jones.

To those that say its not that serious. I worked with a couple of people that lost relatives overseas. One got it and 3 days later was dead. A good mate lost his dad in the UK to covid. A family we know in the eastern suburbs of Sydney got it the 2 young kids and the dad were sick but could handle staying at home. The mother spent 9 days seriously ill in hospital ( no pre existing conditions) she still sounds terrible. An ex NRL Rooster caught it recently in the UK and was extremely ill
These are just a few examples that I know of personally. To wear a mask I don't consider that an imposition, if you do then I think wearing a mask is the least of your problems. Staying at home, no sport and the lockdown I am no fan of but if it means that my family and friends especially the older ones are a bit safer, well there has been worse.

Has our govt been great, no but they have been far from the worst, Sweden (a pop of 10m) are denying it and already almost 15K have died .

One of our biggest problems is the media, mixed messages, dumb ass questions and plain unprofessional BS. All about trying to be "clever" instead of providing information.

Do what you want, but just remember as much as many seem to want everything to be about themselves, its not.
If you struggle to do a few simple things, abide by a few simple rules, then you really are not much of a contributor to society are you.

Not necessarily meaning to sound accusation but its not that hard really. Just because you don't know anyone affected means bugger all. If you need to bring Trump into it (or any US politics at all) then shit you have missed the point of life all together

They are the main ones to blame for slow vaccine take up and roll out. They stand at those press conferences and do nothing but try to come up with any pedantic thing that might have been overlooked. It is a joke. The ABC of course are the worst of all. They could be building confidence in the community, but they choose to do the opposite. Most of them (except the taxpayer funded one) are going down the gurgler. And they wonder why. They won't be missed, and I reckon history will record the appalling role they've played in all this.

As of 14th July there were 41 deaths in Scotland where patients had been vaccinated.

"The analysis includes all recorded deaths due to any cause and does not refer to deaths caused by the vaccine itself. As the vaccination programme is being rolled out to the entire adult population, many people will experience an illness or death in the days following their vaccination by coincidence. This is particularly the case for those vaccinated early in the programme, when the programme prioritised the very elderly population and those with pre-existing underlying health conditions."

"Using the 5-year average monthly death rate (by age band and gender) from 2015 to 2019 for comparison, 8,718 deaths would have been expected among the vaccinated population within 28 days of receiving their COVID-19 vaccination. This means the observed number of deaths is lower than expected compared with mortality rates for the same time period in previous years."

People who do the statistical analysis of these things are very smart people. They are what we call experts. We should listen to them.
