I enjoyed that game last night...and I'll be watching the Swans instead of Soufs vs Parra.

Still the idiots will claim that the other 99.9% are idiots, that's why they are idiots.
I’m pretty sure that 99.9% of people think you’re an idiot. And that’s without a petition, which would most likely move it to 100%. Your opinion means nothing.

Please name these people as apart from Gould maybe Johns i haven't heard wide spread condemnation or complaints about enforcing the rules. This sky is falling reaction that some have is what really is undermining the game.

It was like when random breath testing came in all this it's the end of clubs and pubs and our way of life nonsense - it greatly reduced accidents and deaths - the NRL enforcing the rules will have an affect in reducing concussions as long as players and coaches get on board with it.

Short term pain for long term gain.

I've heard plenty of commentators, coaches and ex-players saying the same thing as me and plenty of other fans. 2SM commentary team just the other day..............................Now please name the publicans that were in favour of drunks causing death in car crashes.

Anyway, you're not listening! No-one is saying don't enforce the rules or allow illegal tackles. What is going on now is not enforcing the rules properly and not accounting for collisions that happen, regardless of whose fault it is. As I've said before this mandatory sin-bin crap won't stop concussions! Players will still fall into tackles, players will still collide, tacklers will still get concussed (and as we've recently been told, they make up a big bulk of the concussions...you going to send Friendy off for getting concussed when making a tackle?). This is more about V'landys' ego and making a mark in his position (which is a typical new CEO thing to do in any organisation) and covering his backside legally. There is no long term gain, I promise you. There are just more and more excuses for refs to send off Roosters players! And we've already seen it's not consistent. Souffs players who made contact with an opponent's head last week got nothing!

And it's not just for that! It's his rushed, no consultation attitude with new rules, particularly the farce that is the 6-again.

The refs and bunker are getting nervous and penalising tackles that are TOO HARD....and because the human body incl the head reacts to hard body contact they immediately draw an incorrect conclusion that there was direct contact to the head.

I hate it when that happens.

The Clubs and Pubs association and liquor industry were dead against it saying pubs and clubs would be forced to close their doors- so whoever their presidents or spokesperson were - it was 1982 so i don't remember their names.

Short Term Pain for Long Term Gain - in a few weeks or so people wont even be talking about it as by then Players would have changed their ways one would hope.

NRL 2021: Stars revolt: Big-name players plotting to remove ARL Commissioner Peter V’landys (smh.com.au)

Some leading players are so angry they want him out of the game now – and they are privately working on ways to remove him.

Rules of Rugba League, section 6, Bylaw 2(1), para ii

Q: What is a crusher tackle?

A: A crusher tackle occurs when the attacking player places a hand on the back of his neck and waits. The referee will then award a penalty to the attacking team.

The referee will then award a penalty to the attacking team despite the referee not witnessing anything untoward prior to the attacking player placing a hand on the back of his neck.

Now I get what V’Landys is trying for , I don’t want to see 45 year old retired players with no clue who their kids are , but he ain’t ever gonna stop accidental concussions no matter what he does ,it could also be suggested his trying to avoid future law suits and unwanted government interference...although Mark Bosnich did suggest on the back Page this last week that said lawsuit was in the pipeline anyway
