What absolute Bullshit. All but one of Victors tackles deserved "on report". Nothing that Crichton did deserved anything except maybe a penalty.
They do not need to change, the officiating of the game needs to catch up to the game. The administrators need to get their heads our of their asses.
Stopping high shots is important but anyone that thinks Victor deserved 5 weeks needs to **** off and support RU where you get red carded for not doing your shoe laces up properly

Three weeks ago Rads and Crichton would be playing the next game.

Out of the 3 incidents, he bumped TPJ on the chin. 5 weeks. The sky's the limit with their arrogance.

I'm getting bored with this discussion. Most agree its a massive and inappropriate overreaction by the NRL.

Just one point to add and its exemplified classically by the Radley hit on Panguy. They have to make a distinction between direct hits to the head, as opposed to the incidental bounce up or brush stroke like Victors.

If he had hit Panguy direct in the head its lights out and should have been punished accordingly. However he didn't and Panguy had the wherewithall to start the complaints process even on his way to the turf.

They have to make that clear distinction. The bunker should rule on it if the referee isn't clear on it.

Officials need that Harrigan esq "feel" for the game. No blanket rules for head contact from slight, incidental innocuous to the direct forceful hits.

Make the distinction. The fans will embrace it. Right now its mindless.

V'Lakas asking the defenders lower their tackles. If you were a defender making a tackle on this ball-runner that is also stepping and twisting, in a split-second where can you safely stick your head in this instance?

These ridiculous expectations is what ended Jake Friend's career. Will end Cordner's career. Radley has also been concussed a few times with hip tackles.

Hey dude, I noticed that you posted a link to this petition on League Unlimited and they have 'censored' it already. Lol!

I get what you mean. There were about 6 or 7 replies on it when I saw it and when I refreshed the page it just 'poof' disappeared.

Yeah. That is what I meant. Just poorly worded.

Gus has a funny response for Salvo and his mates.

Everyone go out in future and tackle below the waste, on every tackle. Let’s see what you get. Good luck with that theory. https://t.co/sWl1ZC746G" / Twitter

If Vlandys thinks there are not people alleging that games are being fixed by seemingly biased refereeing...he needs to
sit on a chair in a dark room and think more deeply about the subject.
I would't like to be heading an organisation where that is the case.
He (and the ARL Commission) employs the referees...he has the power to hire referees who WILL do what he tells them to do....and referee games fairly.

                          Or unfairly if need be.

Dice was right the first time " You just don't get that teams are not going to concede points tackling low " - Correct as there is no evidence/statistics to suggest tackling lower would result in points or conceding more points.

Yes and Gussy blows up as well when a defender is penalised for a back slam tackle- nothing wrong with that he say's- mmm maybe he should ask a neurologist and orthopaedic surgeon about the implications health and well being wise of such tackles.

Gus -" back in my day a proper high tackle was when the ball carrier was knocked out and carried off on a stretcher"
