i agree that white people are as important as everyone else but this is hardly the place to argue about it.
maybe politics is more important than sport but not in a sporting forum it isn't.
this is a forum for roosters supporters. Sure, we all have different political opinions, but we're here because we all support the roosters. harping on about politics, with its inevitable divisiveness, is like a catholic going to an inter-faith religious meeting and calling Martin Luther a heretic. Doesn't help.
The Political stuff should go to the other discussion section where it belongs on this site.

'We're only halfway thru the first quarter', NSW Health Minister said the other day, I think. Some official said it anyway.
I say we did exactly the right thing preparing for the worst.
Did exactly the right thing getting all the ventilators and ICU beds ready.
The fat lady hasn't sung yet!
Lots of planes landing here from China every day, no 1 shock jock says.
"Mostly cargo planes".
Border Force says it's watching the flight crews and cargo plane staff closely.
"Check for yourself", AJ says.
"Go to website "flightradar24.com".
So I did, ever a faithful 'servant'.
flightradar24.com
in Search box put Shanghai or whatever airport you want...and up come all the planes.
China sure is busy.
No shortage of planes flying in and out of China.
There's an App button..."track every plane in the world in 3D, see what the pilots see."

Yes any death is tragic and no I don't hate old people.
Not sayIng break out the shampoo just yet, and there may/may not be a second wave but geez we have done well.
I wasn't kidding when I said it's easier to get a ventilator here than a roll of toilet paper. We have about 7,000 now with less than 100 people nationwide using them.
You won't here these angles in the mainstream media.
Well done Australia.
This is going to sound absolutely awful but I mentioned to my wife last night when the first story on the later news was the terrible accident in VIC that killed four police officers, I said "Thats the first time in 2 months theres been anything other than a Corona Virus headline to open the news".

Coronavirus...hunger pandemic.
http://www.msn.com/en-au/news/corona...&OCID=AVRES000
UN food agency chief: World on brink of `a hunger pandemic'
UNITED NATIONS (AP) — The head of the U.N. food agency warned Tuesday that, as the world is dealing with the coronavirus pandemic, it is also “on the brink of a hunger pandemic” that could lead to “multiple famines of biblical proportions” within a few months if immediate action isn’t taken.
#####
That should be ok...a link, a heading, and two lines of text. Then my comments as always below the 5 #'s
Famines?
All the more reason for ScoMo, Prime Minister of Australia with whom the buck stops....to wave his magic wand and make water from the Murray available immediately to the farmers in our $20 billion food bowl...to grow rice and wheat so we don't starve.
We were importing rice from Vietnam, reportedly, then Vietnam closed down for the Coronavirus pandemic., reportedly.
As a teen child I used to carry a whip around my suburb with me [to 'whip' the bullies away] ….but it was not I last week outside the Chinese consulate in Sydney cracking a whip and shouting out some inappropriate stuff...and then "Wake up Australia! "Wake up Australia"!
His last words are totally correct.
In our supermarket freezer sections there is a lot of food "made in China", "product of China".
Also, "made in Australia from 10% Australian ingredients". Where the rest come from.?
Supermarket deli....sliced ham "10% Australian ingredients", where the other 90% come from? Overseas somewhere. Where overseas?..China? It doesn't say.Last edited by bondi.boy; 04-23-2020, 11:56 AM.

The problem is, and always will be, the communist government of China, not the populace. Unlike the U.S. where the problem is (some of) the people in it. The problem with Australia is that it, like Donald Horne wrote, is a lucky country run mainly by second rate people who share its luck. The vast majority of Prime Ministers of this country have been duds. And I'm not talking about the last ten years either.
I could, but won't, name the four I believe had anything more than election to election 'bribes' on their minds during their tenures.

White males/ Roosters supporters being persecuted.
What I should've done was only quote a few lines from it then let you read the rest for yourself.
Sorry about that. I won't do it again.

Discrimination against white males will soon be encouraged
Discrimination against dominant white males will soon be encouraged in a bid to boost the status of women, the disabled and cultural and religious minorities.
Such positive discrimination -- treating people differently in order to obtain equality for marginalised groups - is set to be legalised under planned changes to the Equal Opportunity Act foreshadowed last week by state Attorney-General Rob Hulls.
Equal Opportunity Commission CEO Dr Helen Szoke said males had "been the big success story in business and goods and services".
"Clearly, they will have their position changed because they will be competing in a different way with these people who have been traditionally marginalised," she said.
"Let's open it up so everyone can have a fair go."
Victoria's peak business body expressed concern yesterday about the need for the proposed laws, and questioned if they would undermine the right of companies to make legitimate business decisions.
At present, individuals or bodies wanting to single out any race or gender for special treatment must gain an exemption from VCAT.
But the proposed changes go much further, allowing the commission to inquire into discrimination, seize documents and search and enter premises after attempts to bring about change have failed.
Businesses and individuals would be required to change their ways even if a complaint had not been received.
Action could be taken where an unlawful act was "likely to occur", not just in cases where discrimination has taken place.
The first raft of changes to the Equal Opportunity Act were introduced into Parliament last week.

That's very true Mickey. I had a neighbour (Roosters fan) whose mother was Indonesian and her dad was born in Lebanon like mine was. She copped a lot growing up and her answer was always along the lines of 'There are jails in every country"

Then there are the people of Chinese descent who were born in Australia...some descended from Chinese folk from the gold rush era.
Many are Roosters supporters.....as Australian as anyone else born here.
Some people of Asian appearance who have been persecuted here over Covid-19 are "Vietnamese", not even "Chinese".
Anyone intent on persecution-revenge needs to identify the correct offender...In this case seemingly the govt of China.
One problem as I see it is that on tv are seen Chinese people here stripping shelves in supermarkets and sending the products en masse to China.
Btw, if you were born here, you are Aussie. Doesnt matter what you skin colour or facial features are.
