They are all born, live, take dumps and die the same way so I don't care if society has placed some importance on you, you get treated the same way, if you give respect, you get it.

Goodes doesn't, so I don't give it to him. And, no, I've never met him.
I think your ethical position is (broadly) sound here, although it is creeping a bit towards Randian elitism for my liking - yet I suspect you're more of a misanthropic libertarian with a camp-nihilism thrown in for effect.

But you are an outlier who has basically said, "yes people don't like him because he's black, but I don't like him because he uses the fact that he's black to hide the fact that he's a shit-mouth".

All others are saying, "no-one hates him because he's black - and he's a shit-mouth".

So you are muddying the waters.

Well yeah man, it was an analogy. Can't be bothered parsing your comment on me smart phone, but it was.

I've read your postscript 4 times now Dice, and can't come up with a suitable response. And no - that's not due to the acute logic of your question.

Thanks for invoking my hero, I must have read the Fountainhead 20 or 30 times over the years. Call me the Question, call me Howard Roark, it's how I roll. And while I speak fluent homosexual, I, myself, am not homosexual.

Has anyone thought that the boos are coming because it is such a big issue now? I think it would of stopped a long time ago bad the media not started this snowballing story.

He will now get boo'd for a long time. Who cares. Thats what he gets paid for. Home crowds have been like that towards opposing teams for a long time now.

Playing the aboriginality card here is weak.

At least you understand how easy it is to use a poor choice of words which can be misconstrued as racism.

Many are also saying it is his own agenda for life after footy as a politician.

There are plenty who get booed in many sports. He needs to harden up.
                      I agree.

i remember goodes interviewed rio ferdinand, and asked him how he felt when bananas were thrown at him, rio said you just move on, goodes was dumbfounded by the response.

i grew up with people calling me wog, i hit back with whatever i wanted, i didn't take it personally and wog was almost a compliment when you look at the aussies who were calling you that. It's a jealousy thing sometimes, and maybe because we ate good food and not devon with tomato sauce for lunch, they thought i was acting better than them.

All of this 'I got called an ape' and 'I used wog as a badge of honour' crap is missing the point spectacularly.

Dudes. 30 years ago, in this country, the government were taking little black kids away from their families, their communities, their identities - and tried to breed them out.

                          In this country.

Let me guess, Milanja: you're Yugoslavian? Italian? Some other white, Christian background? I can't remember the time when the Australian government tried to breed-out white Europeans.

                              Was worth a listen.

Basically Adam Goodes is being booed all the time.
Many think it is racially motivated. Others think it is his grubby style of play.

Me personally, I think they boo because they can boo. It becomes a "thing" that people do at the footy. Like Paul Roos......rooooooooos.
Rebecca Wilson came out particularly poorly in this exchange.
She used emotional words to convey her disgust in response to perceived racial vilification. Basically she was pulling at the heart strings of dullards. " Bec, the Good Samaritan."

Her conclusions lack any clear insight.
I found this also when she was reporting on the ASADA scandal, Sonny Bills defection to Rugby, salary cap scandals........
I don't see how she keeps her job.
It's c grade journalism at best.

Dermot went her big time and she lost her nerve and started talking crap.
If the Tele wants headline grabbers....they have a good one with her. It's a pity they aren't talking about her for her content rather than her grandstanding.
She got farking smashed. It was porn for the blind.

                              Chook.

I can't go into too much depth on this issue because I don't know enough about Goodes background - his so called on field antics and behaviour. But that not withstanding I find it hard to believe that there isn't an undertone of racism to the whole drama.
