99.9% of the booers are sheep.

The others think he is a grub that think he wants to make everything about himself. Are those who boo Mundine racists?

Many are also saying it is his own agenda for life after footy as a politician.

There are plenty who get booed in many sports. He needs to harden up.

I haven't been following it however you'll always come off second best if you take on a crowd.

Could someone please substantiate these claims that he's an "asshole" and/or a "gobshite"?

I'm open to this line of thought, but I need convincing.

I suspect not apologizing to the parents of a disabled girl for singling her out for repeating a comment her father made and having security march her out like the Stasi to be interrogated by the police while she was utterly terrified (and by all account shit herself in fear) is bordering on arsehole-like behavior and then when he calls people racist for calling him on that then I suspect he's also a gobshite.

          Just my opinion, of course.

As a youngster, I recall being called a "big ape" many times by young girls. It was not racially motivated since I am caucasian, it is just what young girls say. Yet, when the same thing happens to Goodes it is automatically assumed to be racially motivated, and a young girl was publicly humiliated over the incident.

If you want a tolerant society then it works both ways.

              @Johnny:

              Cheers man.

Is that when the booing stuff started? After he called the girl out and it got out that she was handicapped?

Or is it more the case that he's a black guy who speaks-out.

Ok, so I just looked it up and the young girl wasn't handicapped. She was the child of a handicapped mother, apparently.

You're full of shit Johnny. Accept that Aussies hate a tall poppy, and without a doubt there's a long history of Anglo-Celtic Australians putting black blokes in their place.

Unless you or anyone can explain to me a real reason why the bloke deserves derision, then I'm not sold.

Sorry Dice but that is just a ridiculous thing to say. Black people have a history of marginalization, so contextually your analogy doesn't hold up.

Sally boy, I don't have to convince you of anything. And I got that information from Alan Jones last night so instead of the information being 99% correct, it was only 9.9% correct. I have one standing belief with every person on this planet from President Obama to the garbos who come every Wednesday to pick up. They are all born, live, take dumps and die the same way so I don't care if society has placed some importance on you, you get treated the same way, if you give respect, you get it.

Goodes doesn't, so I don't give it to him. And, no, I've never met him.

It wasn't an analogy. I was demonstrating that young girls often say "big ape" without any racial context, and that society is assuming the context.

PS: I like the way you used "Black people". Are we to automatically assume that you are also racist?

Why don't we go down the same path as America and say "Black lives matter...everyone else can get stuffed."

We are turning into America, with the kneejerk reactionary racial politics becoming the standard.

I apologise most sincerely that I was born without a large dose of melanin pigment, I will not let it happen again.

I couldn't agree more than this, I seriously don't know what happened to the country that I was born in, when I was a kid in the 70's we took the piss out on ourselves and each other. Political correctness has ruined this country where people are afraid to speak without the fear of being branded.

I'm not advocating a return to the Ted Bullpit/Alf Garnett style invective as racism is stupid and wrong. Just as it is stupid and wrong for people of color to say racism is the reason for a reaction to that person behaving in an unpleasant manner.

Nova Peris cried racism when those accusations of her knocking off that American runner on the Australian dime were revealed.

Anthony Mundine said people were racist when he was chastised for saying America deserved to be hit on September 11th 2001.

Gary Ablett Snr said it was racism that made people condemn him for letting that prostitute O'd in his hotel room.

Ricky Nixon called it racism when he was found to have rooted a 17 year old female fan after getting her pissed.

Actually, no, those last two didn't because they didn't have the luxury of being able to say they were being persecuted because of their skin tone.

The whole booing Adam Goodes has nothing at all to do with him being aboriginal, AFL is full of indigenous players, champion players in fact that are held in extremely high regard, he was booed because fans did not like the incident with the young girl, she in fact does have a learning disability and mimicked her old man, blame the father not the kid, that's when Goodes should have apologised to the young girl and made his point, for a few seasons now he has also been accused of diving to gain free kicks, he also antagonises the crowd with silly gestures that are not needed( not including his war dance).

I follow the AFL and Goodes is an out and out champion, what disappoints me is that the race card is always applied when things goes belly up, look at Mundine and Blacklock, but claimed selectors were anti aboriginal thats why they were not selected, not the fact they were arrogant and couldnt tackle.

I Boo Inglis, Farrell, Reynads and Sutton, not because they are aboriginal , but because they play for souths, I Boo Thurston when he plays us because the bloke whinges like a baby when the Cowboys lose, not because he is aboriginal, I boo Cam Smith not because he isnt an aboriginal but because i habe always thought he was a grub of a player.

Enough of playing the Race Card, a vast majority of these booers are sheep and have no farking idea why they are booing.

Both parties need to wake up to themselves
