I dont understand the argument people make for saying that we could get 2-3 good players with the money spent on SBW when he leaves. Why the fark dont we do that now? Putting all your eggs in one basket is usually a recipe for disaster. A short term fix is also a long term loss.

Why do you think we didn't chase people the last couple of years? Because Nick knew that he had this huge wedge to pay out next season.

So we went into last season with a light roster because we didn't have the free cash to chase anyone.

Whether Money Bill will be paid by a third party or whoever it'll be....you can bet that the NRL make sure most of it goes against our cap. If he decides to stay for 2 years or more, then we'll have a few issues trying to accommodate him.
