Welcome DCE - Done deal according to Phil Rothfield.

We can’t attack the DCE signing after every good win and then defend it whenever we lose. It’ll just go on like this for rest of the year. It is what it is. Deal with it, he’s coming.
I do agree with some of the vocal opposers that we don’t seem to need him, all we need is our forwards to play for 80 mins, be disciplined and play fast second phase footy. DCE or Hugo, it doesn’t matter. It seems like a luxury signing but at this point but it is what it is.

Might as well call ourselves the rooted instead of Roosters.

It always has smelt of a mis placed desire to replicate the Cronk-led success of 2018 and 2019.
But the team back then was very different. Cronk was very different. The situation was different.
Unfortunately it appeared this decision was made before Savala had made his entrance into first grade.
I am hoping DCE will revert to form and backflip.
But I am not expecting that to happen unless the Dolphins are in the process of throwing him something incredible compelling.

Probably lose Hugo he is to good to run arround in Reggie’s young first grade players don’t like it and mal and a couple of others are watching this dce debacle and where it leaves the kid a first grade jumper and a few hundred grand should get Hugo’s interest the best solution is piss dce off and keep hugo

They offered him one year at a lower rate and he knocked it back. He wanted two years and more money. Then the shemozzle on TV happened with them offering two years on air.
And yet here we are today with him "apparently" accepting a one year offer with us at a lower rate. Ho hum.
That whole TV thing showed it was all about him throwing all his toys out of his playpen.
Of course Turbo and Jurbo said they are happy to accept lower without feeling disrespected.

Fact, DCE himself said he was not offered a deal until they rang one through to a TV show, it was a 2 year deal worth either 1.4 or 1.5 million across the 2 years. Fact, Manly have confirmed this saying they wanted to leave it in DCE's hands and not pressure him so you are blatantly lying to argue with yourself.
"Apparently" doesn't sort of make things true, these are things reported by legitimate media sources I just won't do what you do and say they are 100% legitimate until someone actually there says something. I do believe that DCE had a falling out with his team mates and everything that has happened this year has likely impacted his professional mental health at the very least.
He also isn't playing badly though, you guys all make out as if he's playing worse than Chad Townsend yet he still beats most halves this season in key stats. Inb4 "Stats don't matter"
