Yep we have had some bad losses this year. And yes I have been critical of Robbo. But we decided to go in a different direction this year - young / academy etc. We need to stick with this. Just like the Pamfers did with N Cleary and J Luai.

Why is it poorly played by DCE? He’s coming to the greatest club who should have a very successful season, he’s guaranteed a coaching role and a media job too. He’s positioned himself very nicely.

Dont worry about DCE how good is Ethan Strange.
There has been threads in the past on here & some have questioned whether he is any good or not.
He is nop notch & he's only 30 games into his career.
He will be picked for the Australian squad to tour England.

Sam Walker already has more try assists in his 5 games this season that Strange has accumulated in his 21 games.

If they're going to take a young half to England it's got to be Katoa or Sam Walker.

You might be right about Katoa & Walker but I think Strange will get picked if he stays fit & plays through the finals possibly in the GF.

You might be right about Katoa & Walker but I think Strange will get picked if he stays fit & plays through the finals possibly in the GF.

Strange has 11 tries & 12 try assists in 21 games, averaging out at 1.09 try contributions per game. Walker has 0 tries & 13 try assists in 5 games, averaging out at 2.6 try contributions per game. To be fair to Sam he's coming back from an ACL if anything's going to take the most amount of time to return it would be the confidence in his running game and footwork.

And that's not a shot at Strange I think he's a good young half but I just don't have him in that elite level, if they're serious about picking a young half to take on tour it has to be one of Katoa or Walker for mine, both have a higher ceiling than Strange.

If Raiders have a good finals run it wouldn't be a surprise to see him get picked.

There's definitely a bias to picking players from successful teams rather than picking the best player available. They hide behind this argument of 'form'.

It's the same reason why we saw James Tedesco dropped for Dylan Edwards.

Heard Buzz rothfield say the roosters are looking at loaning out Savala for 12 months to accomodate DCE . Not a fan of this idea , Hugo deserves better

Everyone knows they approached him with a deal. Stories change when you are backed into a corner. "Apparently" sort of makes things true. "Apparently" all his team mates hate him. "Apparently" he is suffering from mental health issues even though I have never seen it made public.

They offered him one year at a lower rate and he knocked it back. He wanted two years and more money. Then the shemozzle on TV happened with them offering two years on air.

And yet here we are today with him "apparently" accepting a one year offer with us at a lower rate. Ho hum.

That whole TV thing showed it was all about him throwing all his toys out of his playpen.

Of course Turbo and Jurbo said they are happy to accept lower without feeling disrespected.
