        • I went down to Lemon Tree Grocer yesterday to get some ingredients for home made pizza as they were the lovely shop who gave away many bunches of flowers last month and would not take any money for them.

                I love it.
Filipinos add salt to their watermelon, shaking my head.

Yes they definitely would. It would also make a nice change up to the standard mash every now and then.

                      • Went to the new fish markets tonight, nice architecture, but not sure what I think of them, it was very hot in there, and I would of thought they would have at least put big fans in there to circulate the air, the seating on the front steps looks impressive, but impractical.

I preferred the old dingy looking markets, but this should be a good tourist trap as it was still busy at 7pm.

I'm waiting till the crowds die down after the holiday period to go and have a look around, been watching a lot of videos people have done on you tube walking around the stalls. It is like anything new, it will take a while to get used to, i went to the old markets late November to have a feed and say goodbye , the one thing i wont miss though is having to walk through the car park to get to the stores that were outside, at least with the new one everything is under the one roof. Really bad planning though that it is going to be another year till the ferry wharf is complete and a ferry service running to it

I noticed Coles have had the champagne melon on sale lately and their yellowy flesh looks really appealing.
