We tried the Woollies Spanakopita. It's ok but I prefer the ALDI one.

Thought of you today MR, went to Woolworths and they had tonnes of the macro free range brand chicken lovely legs heavily reduced with tomorrows best before date on them but i remembered you saying about them having a bad smell when you bought them before even when well with in date so i decided against getting any for the freezer, besides they looked so small, almost the size of chicken lolly pops. Googled the macro free range chicken when i got home and there is a reddit page of how bad the quality is and the bad smells.

Oh wow, so it’s not just my local Woolies. I won’t buy any of their macro chicken range now as it’s happened to me a couple of times now. The smell really is rank.Originally posted by horrie hastings View PostThought of you today MR, went to Woolworths and they had tonnes of the macro free range brand chicken lovely legs heavily reduced with tomorrows best before date on them but i remembered you saying about them having a bad smell when you bought them before even when well with in date so i decided against getting any for the freezer, besides they looked so small, almost the size of chicken lolly pops. Yes i wasn't going to risk it with the chicken. Funny though i have bought the same brand in the beef mince and it has been fine, actually very good quality.Originally posted by mightyrooster View Post

Yeah i checked out the fried chicken in IGA when i went in, smelled and looked great but had a big lunch of left overs before leaving Vincentia so couldn't fit anymore in. The IGA at Berry used to do the fried chicken also but the last 3 visits i have noticed they mustn't do it anymore.Originally posted by Bates View Post
The fried chicken at the IGA opposite Ted's is very good and always ready to go. The hot chips are also respectable.
