Agreed our wingers were very poor, SKD had an absolute shocker. Just when we were getting a roll going in the first half, up 12 to 0 and he knocks on a simply kick close to our line, and the Warriors score in the next set.
    .
As for EARL, I have not seen alot of him but gee he seems bloody slow to me, one point in the game he made a quick duck down the blind (in the 2nd half) which in itself looked promising, and appeared to have caught their defence napping, but they rounded him up in super quick time. And his defence seemed suspect.
    .
Very very dissappointing game, but I guess it is just one of those years.

Thats been a big problem of freddies, his bench rotation, it is VERY POOR !
I think you are spot on mario. Friend has played 80 minutes in the past so I don't know why he was off for so long. Solid defender, gives good ball and kicks well. Koupa is just not in the same league. That and our wingers cost us the game IMO.

Oh man, i still cannot fathom why he keeps playing a backrower at hooker for extended minutes. When Friend is on, our attack seems to flow more naturally.

IN GLIMPSES, our attack was looking like it is coming together. Friend, Pearce are developing a pretty good combination and Perret is slowly joining that party as well.

I still can't imagine Perret playing on the wing next season.

Oh and also, SKD will now forever be known as Rocks and Diamonds. How a coach doesn't get in his ear about safety first football, i'll never know.

bench rotation was terrible. Mason and Friend were left off for far to long and kouparitsis was shit at dummy half. Watching those 3 repeat sets we had in the 2nd half, every ball he gave to Pearce was either too high or too low and meant he was under an enormous amount of pressure.
I support two NRL teams, the Roosters and whoevers playing Souths

I am more pissed off about the gibbering idiot that let McKinnon through for that late try.
It was either Symonds or Jones (Jones I think) that ran away from his position in the line leaving a gaping hole.
If that player held their position in the line McKinnon gets no where and the Roosters probably win

It was Jones. He got wrong footed.

What pissed me off was the lack of chase from the rest of the team. If every one chased, that would lead McKinnon toward the corner instead of beside the upright. The way Stacey Jones was striking them, it would of made it so much harder.

Oh and Jones' little legs do have some speed in them. He turned and chased and made sure Mckinnon didn't score under the dotted line.

I am sure Jones chased well and did some great things.
But that was mod football rubbish. He comitted himself and its pretty basic stuff that you hold the line and make the player with the ball commit.

Why the hell does Fittler start the second half with Kouparitsis at hooker?? Friend has had a 10 minute break at least, put the kid back on! He is far superior in attack and defence to Kouparitsis.

It's no coicidence that we are getting 2-3 tries put on us early in the second half of games when Friend is off the field, he's the one that does most of the clean up tackling work. Kouparitsis just doesn't have the same defensive work rate and quite frankly, is not a dummy half's arsehole.

What sort of a spastic would put in that dribbler of a kick, when we are up with less than 5 to go...???

Obviously a spastic that relies on his team mates to make a simple, regulation tackle.

Mate - He had a good game again, but that option was just wrong, wrong wrong...

Problem with bringing on a player with 10 min to go, you need him to play the first 10-15 of the second half. Otherwise we waste an interchange and with our fitness levels this season, we need all the changes we can get.
While Koupa probably has the ability, he hasn't played first grade long enough to know how the team operates, hell he hasn't trained with us a whole season.

I am glad that Jake is getting recognition for his on field actions. I watched his first game in grade and his work ethic shined through, he was always first into the tackle and they were bloody goot tackles on bigger blokes. He is a tough little midget, who i am sure can easily play the full 80. He might not have the fitness, but he sure does have one thing - heart.

That's the territory that comes with an inexperienced player playing in a vital role.

Little things like that go unnoticed when playing in good teams. However in our team, they shine through.

McKinnon should have been tackled 20 metres out from his own line. Hardly Pearce's fault that he skipped through the gap left by Jones
