Wow, there's a few suprises there with Jones at 6 and Symonds at centre. I think this is an awesome side, Symonds hole-running ability was probably the over riding factor in picking him at centre. Jones has played 6 all his life and gets his chance to shine there.

A very good all-round team with a very good bench.

Ranga 2 been great all year, considering he's a young midget ranga that's been playing out of position.
Good to see ranga 3 getting a run on, he has earned it.

Pity Shack is leaving, 3 rangas in the side next yr would have been great. Maybe the Aubs boys and Jake can add a little colour and then we could have 5.

Jones actually used to play a lot of his junior footy in the centres, he played Australian School Boys at centre. It wasn't until he came to the Roosters Under 20 side that he made the switch to 5/8. He has openly however said that he prefers to play 5/8 and believes it's his best position so you are right it's his time to shine.

Agreed, I like the look of the side.

I would probably shuffle it around a bit, have Jones at centre, Symonds at five-eighth instead. But it is the best we can field.

I liked the look of Kouparitsis in hooker the other week. He still has a long way to go and looks a bit lost at times but overall he played well and I think can really develop into a good hooker. Soliola I wouldn't drop off the bench. I'd ease him in as he is devastating in the back-row and would add spark to the attack and defence. Might have to be Waqa that drops off, even though I don't want him too.
