PS If you include the Central Coast junior region the Roosters junior base is bigger than alot of other teams in the NRL....!!!!!
If that were true where are your juniors?

Crichton, Allan, Paulo, Keary, bother butchers, Suallii, previously souths,. Walker from broncos, Teddy from tigers, Smith from storm, Collins broncos, lodge penrith..... I could go on..

I got flashbacks at work yesterday. I'm back working in the same building I was 17 years ago and when I had left the company, I was given some book vouchers, so I had bought Shane Webcke's book purely because he grew up in the same small town as I did. I remember being really disgusted when he had made cracks in the book about the Roosters rorting the cap.

Don't know how it got published..didn't another Broncos player end up getting their book pulped before it was published also?

This thread should be make a sticky...another new season, another crack by Tallis about our cap space. It's like Groundhog Day..
I read his book too, was surprised about how highly he thought of himself. Wasn't he heading into politics?

What's a Souffs supporter doing on a Roosters forum trying to justify what the biggest meat head on Fox who has NFI about anything let alone how the Roosters work?
Stick to your 1 premiership every 60 years if that makes you happy.

Which premierships do you count? The Eastern Suburbs ones, the Sydney city one or the Sydney ones?? South Sydney has always been south Sydney.

The eastern suburbs of Sydney. Many people from Sydney and all over the state wish they could say that they live in the eastern suburbs of Sydney. Most would probably trade places immediately if they could afford to get out of Penrith, Campbelltown, or whatever other lower socio-economic region they call home. Everyone that 'hates' Easts loves visiting the area. Embrace the hate, they are really just making unintentional compliments. To be fair, most on the anti-Easts bandwagon are only there because of groupthink and the desire to go with the flow. Some even persist with the 'rorters' caper, tongue in cheek, because even though they know it is not true, it achieves the result they desire of pissing off supporters of the Roosters.

Such a stupid comment. Of course we barely have any juniors. You guys took most of our junior areas. That’s why Jack Coote is a Roosters jr, but Ron Coote isn’t.

Not everyone's a daft bint. Below is a post from a bloke called The Barry who is a Doggies supporter (this was from a different sports forum):

That’s not true though. Below are the Roosters player losses and gains over the past five years. There’s a clear pattern that they release 6 or 7 mid to high tier players and sign a couple of stars

They fill the other positions with rookies on minimum contracts coming through. This is exactly what the Storm have done for many years

They haven’t been very active in bringing new players to the club at all over the past three seasons but have released a lot of top tier talent. Their outs have definitely outweighed their ins

I have no desire to defend the Roosters but there’s so much baseless garbage floating around when the real info is a couple of clicks away. The maths definitely adds up

They’ve lost players like SST, Cordner, Friend, Cronk, Napa, Mitchell, Pearce, Guerra, Sean Kenny-Dowell who were all highly paid players and still at or near their peak. They don’t over pay for mid tier players or over commit based on loyalty like most clubs do

The pattern goes on before that too. The Roosters – along with the Storm – are far better at managing their cap than the rest of us. It’s sour grapes to constantly be banging on about ch.eating

I don't usually toy with infiltrators but can't resist putting you in place with actual facts.
1 premiership in 50 years is totally unsatisfactory and massively underwhelming.
Your mob won the majority of their premierships when at the time it was awarded to the team first past the post (ala the EPL, just in case you can't make out that saying bc you're young and stoopid).
Also to put further perspective to your team's ineptness, all your premierships up until 2014 were played under a competition with a mere 10 to 12 teams .
Add that to your book of fools?

Lol don't be so butt hurt.

How's it feel we are the only club to have played every year in the games history. Didn't have to merge with anyone or suffer the embarrassment of being kicked out of the league.

How's it feel that Lattrell will never win a premiership with South's.

What about one of your premierships that was won when you agreed mutually with the Tigers to protest & not turn up but went back on your word & turned up & it was given to you without a tackle being made. Real classy.

Souths fans make me laugh, yes 60, 70 and 80 years ago the team were successful and won plenty. Since the introduction of the National Rugby League all they have is the 2014 premiership which was almost a decade ago now and the World Club Challenge.

Roosters? 4 premierships, 5 minor premierships, 4 World Club Challenges and a whopping 8 grand final appearances.

That rumour started because he had a member of the Queensland National Party alongside him at his book launch but the guy was there as a supportive friend, not for political reasons.

Except for 2000 and 2001. If not for the generous big brother roosters bailing them out, probably wouldn’t have been seen again.

                                every year, every season.

Only one team can put claim to that.
