How does he get away with saying what he said? He works for a media company who pay hundreds of millions per year to broadcast the games. Without offering any evidence or any proof, he accuses a club of systematic, pre-planned cheating. The most serious allegation you can make in sport. Can you imagine if a racing journalist accused Chris Waller of drugging his horses to help them win races? With no proof? At the very least they'd be sacked by their employers, and then probably sued by Chris Waller. V'Landys or Abdo should be at the very least getting him to apologise and retract his half witted comments.

Good for you. But you’re living in a fool’s paradise if you think there’s a single club who isn’t loathed, including yours. And probably for more legitimate reasons too than tinfoil hat accusations of cheating the cap, and for signing players who are obviously unable or unwilling to stay with their current clubs. Lucky for everyone, including us, premierships aren’t decided by popularity.

I got flashbacks at work yesterday. I'm back working in the same building I was 17 years ago and when I had left the company, I was given some book vouchers, so I had bought Shane Webcke's book purely because he grew up in the same small town as I did. I remember being really disgusted when he had made cracks in the book about the Roosters rorting the cap.

Don't know how it got published..didn't another Broncos player end up getting their book pulped before it was published also?

This thread should be make a sticky...another new season, another crack by Tallis about our cap space. It's like Groundhog Day..
