  • We need tall wingers

The way the game is played nowadays there is no room for midgets. The sooner Smith plays Tagive the better. I know Carney tried his arse off last night but my heart palpitates every time the opposition puts up a kick to Carney's corner. Surely Tagive would offer more than Carney and if that's the case why the hell wouldn't Smith pick him? Also I know Perret's great out of dummy half but he has to eliminate the stupid mistakes from his game, he's been doing it for years.

    My team against Penrith.
    1 Mini
    2 Tagive
    3 Moga
    4 SKD
    5 Perret
    6 Anasta
7 Pearce (He really needs to improve)
    8 Tasi
    9 Friend
    10 JWH
    11 Guerra
    12 Maubs
    13 Cordner
    Inter.
    14 Mortimer
    15 Mose
    16 FPN
    17 Kennedy

Tagive was close you would think. Warmed up with the team. Hopefully Perrett has some competition by mid year, he's solid but I don't believe he is a hands down selection

It would be good to have a big half African American Penis on the wing.

And before I get hassled, his real name is Ratu Pen-Is Tagive.

Daniel Tupou is 195cm tall and brilliant under the high ball apparently.

Perrett will be in the side unless injured.

In regards to the other wing spot that will be fought out between Moga & BJ. Carney will be named on the wing but will alternate with who ever is picked. Carney defends in the centres leaving BJ or Moga to counter the bombs.

If everyone is fit then Mitchell will miss the side to accomadate Anasta, otherwise unchanged.

I saw tagive at the dogs trial and I thought he went well... Lets hope the like of Tagive will be pushing Sammy and co for a spot, I would like to see BJ and SKD in the centres and Moga with TBA.... four monsters. Carney and Sammy for me are band aids.

Short memories. Sammy P's extended injury was a big loss for the Roosters. It was no coincidence that when he returned we started to find form. His runs out of dummy half in heavy traffic are the best in the NRL. Sam is an extra forward. His error rate is low for the amount of hit ups he does. First player picked in this team.

You'll find Mortimer will drop off and Mitchell will play.

Not at all mate...........because Boyd creates second phase play sammy does not....Boyd puts players through holes... Sammy does not....Boyd creates gaps + try assists sammy does not... Boyd breaks tackles and you know it sammy does not.

Like I said take away the dummy half runs what do you have left??

Then lets go back to 2011 when Perret was out, we all saw the difference in the side from when he was out to when he returned.

Perrett is no super star, but there is one thing he is, consistant !

since he started playing league, he has scored between 9 and 5 tries per season, over the past 5 years he has been in the top 5/6 for try scorers in the Roosters.

His defence on the wing is strong and his combination with SKD is fantastic, he has the defensive nouse to make up for SKD's brain explosions.

He is solid under the highball, his drop on monday night was the first in a LOOOONNG time, even that he was interfered with.

What sam does is add stability, he starts off our sets, breaks the first tackle and makes meters, helping out the forwards.

Don't underestimate Sam's effect on the team. like i said, he's not a star player, but he is VERY underated !

                            A centre???

To be honest dummy 1/2 runs is a massive factor in wing play nowadays. I recall how much he reminded me of Pingy, those 10+ mtrs out of dummy 1/2. It's very important to get the team on a roll, especially in your own 20. It's very difficult for big blokes to get back from a kick and wind up and make 10+ mtrs all day. The wingers usually drop back to help the FB so it's natural they use their speed and leg drive to get on a roll.

I'm not Pezs biggest fan but it was noticeable when he returned last season the impact he had on the team as a whole. Sometimes stats and figures don't tell the whole story and IMO Pez is a classic example of that.

Completely agree Mario. Sam will be in the team until the forwards lift there work rate, and from what i saw last night he'll be in the team for a long time.
He may not be perfect and yes he makes silly mistakes. But he gets us on the front foot every time!
