I hope he stays at the Roosters but if he does go to the Broncos I just wonder if they might negotiate a swap for Isaako. I know he's been inconsistent but he's young and a very handy goal kicker.

Don't forget, he was in discussions with the Roosters a few seasons ago but they didn't sign him then because he really wanted to play fullback.

The Broncos would be nuts to let Isaako go.

SST has either been injured or just not keeping up with the speed of the game. It would be a shame to let him go. Next year with Collins back and Baker with another few games plus pre-season he wouldn't have to play so many minutes.
But there must be a huge signing or two with the 6-7 players leaving. I can't believe we have cap pressure after losing so many players on decent coin.
Knowing our luck lately we’ll change the make up of our team for the new rules for them to change them back (or to something worse that doesn’t suit our changes)

Isaako is Q Cup or Union quality. Not Easts
          ..it’ll be interesting to see

Isako played great under Bennett. His demise was Seibold & walters. This would be a good chance for Robbo to show how good he is in comparison with Bellamy by giving life to a player whos form has gone down and make him a good player again. With that said, I wouldn't want to swap Toupo for him.

I was just thinking that in regards to Raiders. Their big team crucified by these rules and forced to do a massive cleanout. If the rules revert they will be doubly pissed.

In our case I believe it has more to do with age and succession planning. So many forwards in their 30s would eventually be a disaster regardless of the rules.

The young guns from the Fijian side (Kaiviti Silktails) have apparently made some good, eyebrow raising impressions on the Roosters staff especially with a young winger (who plays on the right side) by the name of: Vuate Karawalevu

I have seen a few key Roosters coaching staff members attend these games (Ron Massey Cup games), obviously as spectators but they must be scouting and looking for potential talent.

Toops has just re-signed for 2 years. Collins for 3.

I knew he'd re-sign as soon as I saw this thread.

Don't worry Double P, it was just an idea that a couple of flogs decided was true.

It is just standard negotiation practice for clubs to try and squeeze players by claiming salary cap pressures, and players to counter by seeking external offers. I don't totally dismiss Salvo's claims that some people in that forum have heard the stories of cap pressures and Broncos offers, I just find it very naive to believe that would be the outcome.

They signed him prior to the season start but I don't know for how long - was playing Jersey Flegg for the Chooks - 9 or so tries in his 5 or 6 games before the lower grade comps were put on hold
