I hear you StreetOldMan but Melbourne seems to do ok with other clubs rejects.

Taking on these nrl bad boys for another chance has been hit or miss for us - always tempting though when it’s a cheap lifeline when they are desperate

When you hang around in a ship of fools, it won't be long until you get the disease. I think Vaughn would be great in a disciplined environment.

It's like this...Bad boys come to Bondi and they are seduced by the environment. The money, the clubs, The X, and ladies...and others....Pretty soon they develop habits which interrupts their career and then they make the Front page, though thankfully AND apart from Radley, we have been good...When bad boys or some has been goes to Melbourne, who do they have? They have no family or friends to distract them. In the olden days they had Smiffy and Bellamy to keep an eye on them. Now it's just Bellamy and those already indoctrinated into their system...So all they can do is to train hard and play hard to stay within the group otherwise they find themselves an outcast in a lonely place...Footy and mix amongst themselves is all they do down there, no wonder they play like a machine.

I'd hardly call Vaughan a bad boy though. Dumb definitely.

Had a cup of coffee once I think and now invited some team mates back to his pad for a few brews.

Obviously should have known better with the current dumb restrictions. But I think (hope) in time we will look back at the responses the health bureaucrat Nazis have imposed, and shake our heads.

See this really irks me. I have a guy who works for me in Delhi. I work with a number of people there and in other parts of India. Everyone has pretty much lost a family member or friend to Covid. There was a 39 year old from my biz org there that died, colleagues losing family members or friends in their 50’s etc.

Australia is such a poorly educated country and because of our remote geography, so many people have such little worldly knowledge. No offence Jack but if you knew the havoc this is reeking to people of your demographic you would be glad as This Delta variant thrives on people your age. If you aren’t at the top of your game health wise or immunised, you are looking at a world of pain.

If's about saving lives and limiting the spread of the current Delta variant though - Small inconveniences compared to the bigger picture

Ever been to The US. Most Americans couldn’t point out Australia on a map.

Some of them, in Leno street talk interviews, can't even name one country on the world map.

"What is the largest country in South America"?
                            "Africa".

                            "Where is Mexico"?
                            Guy points to India.

Many of them don't even know where the US is on the world map.

                            "Name one country in Europe"
                            No idea.

Host shows Americans in street a map of Australia.
Labels mainland Australia "North Korea" and Tasmania "South Korea".
                            Asks questions...Americans none the wiser.

Labelled Australia "Iraq" and asked Americans which the best way to attack Iraq would be ...from the west or the east. Not the first clue the Americans.

Leno, asked college students in street:
"In Britain, what language do they speak"?
One bright looking girl said "British".
Leno: "Do you know anyone who speaks British?
                            "No".

Most interviewed don't even know how many stars are on their own flag...and what they and the stripes on their flag represent.
Exactly why every student in our schools should be taught all about our own flag and what the Union Jack, large star under it and the other stars mean.

No one is saying don't take measures to protect the vulnerable. But society in general in a country like Oz needs to learn to live with flus like this. The dreaded Delta strain has been over hyped by lazy opportunistic politicians, more contagious, less dangerous. I think its about 0.03% of people tested here have the virus after testing. Crazy over reach. Of those that do a miniscule number are in hospital. Other flus have been worse here with no lockdowns etc. I guess having vaccines have helped though in the past. India isn't Australia, our remote geography is an advantage.

Maybe ban all cars on the road for 2 weeks, watch the road toll decline. Don't let education and worldly knowledge lead you to support extreme solutions that don't fit the issue.
