Sorry, I don't like any of those options, especially the Milford one. We don't need to import a lot of players, if we had our full strength lineup on the field we could beat anyone. Injuries have fukked us. not problems with the roster. I think the injury toll has had a double negative effect in reducing the confidence of our remaining players as well.
We're down on players, form and confidence. Signing a couple of new players won't change that. We need to train and play our way into form.Last edited by ism22; 07-04-2021, 09:35 AM.

Dont be scared Roc.....certainly ain't the Magnificent 7.

I would have Rads before either of those 2 & playing at least 65 to 70 min a game so what position does Taumalolo or Finucane play?

Prop, centre, and hooker are where I think we should be looking depending on how we're fairing in 10-12 months. Prop and centre from pending retirements/departures, hooker because I'm not sure how Verrills will shape up (the former is easier to predict because we know JWH is near the end, Liu is probably leaving, SST I'm not certain about; the latter is very much a wait and see)

Above is based on my thinking that we'll:- lose JWH, Liu, and SST from our pack rotation, either through retirement or to new clubs
- Morris will retire
- Verrills won't overcome injury and the like.

Tyrone May (backrow, 5/8th, and centre) - very versatile, comes from a great system.
Jaydn Su'A (backrow) - plays on the edge and has a great offload
Connor Watson (hooker, lock, 5/8th) would love to see him return, adds speed.
Bryce Cartwright (second row) - played well this year and could be a good cheapie.
Scott Sorensen (second row) - rock solid last night for the Panthers.
Dean Hawkins (halfback) - another option in the halves.
Anthony Milford (fullback; 5/8th) - risky yes but experienced and could regain some form at a cut price.
I'm a Roosters diehard, but I might have to follow another sport if we signed Milford.

As mentioned b4 he's also versatile to use if injuries arise or to enable Verrills or Rads to come off the field to recharge their batteries for the back-end of a game.
Brandon's defence is unquestionable. He's punishing and EVERY tackle is meaningful.
And above all, he's in his early 20's and will be a long term proposition to any roster. The only thing is the no dickheads policy. From what we can gather, Brandon is a character and has a GSOH which are likeable traits however, if he's up himself i don't know how that will rub up some of our other players?

But I dont know what position. If either of those 2 came to the Chooks they would be considered a starting player & if Victor is lock & playing 65 to 70 min they would have to play prop but they are both locks & I dont know if they would want to be pinned to being just a battering ram. I could be wrong.
Would Taumalolo be as effective & as poweful if he was playing prop?
I really hope the Tigers get Finucane because he is the guy that could stop the rot at the Tigers. If the Tigers got him for 2022 along with Hastings & the Pommie centre they have already signed & had a bit of success like coming 8th they could then attract other higher profile players. Finucane is the key for them he's the guy that would change the club culture.
