Jaydn Su'A (backrow) - plays on the edge and has a great offload

Connor Watson (hooker, lock, 5/8th) would love to see him return, adds speed.

Bryce Cartwright (second row) - played well this year and could be a good cheapie.

Scott Sorensen (second row) - rock solid last night for the Panthers.

Dean Hawkins (halfback) - another option in the halves.

Anthony Milford (fullback; 5/8th) - risky yes but experienced and could regain some form at a cut price.
Sorry, I don't like any of those options, especially the Milford one. We don't need to import a lot of players, if we had our full strength lineup on the field we could beat anyone. Injuries have fukked us. not problems with the roster. I think the injury toll has had a double negative effect in reducing the confidence of our remaining players as well.

Have to agree. Both well below par at the moment.

        Exactly mate.

We're down on players, form and confidence. Signing a couple of new players won't change that. We need to train and play our way into form.

Dont be scared Roc
          The Hateful 10.....certainly ain't the Magnificent 7.

Time to take taumalolo off the cowboys hands since the new coach doesn’t know how to play him. We pay 500k, they pay 500k, win win.

If all players were fit & not suspended at the Roosters & they bought a Taumalolo or Finucane where do you start them in the top 13 if Rads is lock?
I would have Rads before either of those 2 & playing at least 65 to 70 min a game so what position does Taumalolo or Finucane play?

Prop, centre, and hooker are where I think we should be looking depending on how we're fairing in 10-12 months. Prop and centre from pending retirements/departures, hooker because I'm not sure how Verrills will shape up (the former is easier to predict because we know JWH is near the end, Liu is probably leaving, SST I'm not certain about; the latter is very much a wait and see)

End of 2023 season: To'o, Grant

Above is based on my thinking that we'll:
                  1. lose JWH, Liu, and SST from our pack rotation, either through retirement or to new clubs
                  2. Morris will retire
                  3. Verrills won't overcome injury and the like.
The retirement of Cordner etc has probably brought forward by a couple of years our post-premiership refresh imo.
The players on your hit list would want premium money & I don’t think the Chooks spend premium money on props, wingers or centers.

The only players I'd really consider here would be Su'A and Watson, and neither of them would excite me at all.
I'm a Roosters diehard, but I might have to follow another sport if we signed Milford.

I reckon TRobbo could entice Cheeseman to the RWB by allowing him to be the ball playing lock from yesteryear that roamed the field and worked off the halves to initiate attacking raids.

As mentioned b4 he's also versatile to use if injuries arise or to enable Verrills or Rads to come off the field to recharge their batteries for the back-end of a game.

Brandon's defence is unquestionable. He's punishing and EVERY tackle is meaningful.

And above all, he's in his early 20's and will be a long term proposition to any roster. The only thing is the no dickheads policy. From what we can gather, Brandon is a character and has a GSOH which are likeable traits however, if he's up himself i don't know how that will rub up some of our other players?

                            Yes
But I dont know what position. If either of those 2 came to the Chooks they would be considered a starting player & if Victor is lock & playing 65 to 70 min they would have to play prop but they are both locks & I dont know if they would want to be pinned to being just a battering ram. I could be wrong.
Would Taumalolo be as effective & as poweful if he was playing prop?
I really hope the Tigers get Finucane because he is the guy that could stop the rot at the Tigers. If the Tigers got him for 2022 along with Hastings & the Pommie centre they have already signed & had a bit of success like coming 8th they could then attract other higher profile players. Finucane is the key for them he's the guy that would change the club culture.

I would go after TPJ and Smith. TPJ will bring mongrel and size put him alongside walker as his bodyguard 100% could work.. And smith is a no brainer hes young and a proven winner. He can cover a range of positions also.

ChookMeister and others on the TPJ train - IMO he's got a snowsflake chance in hell of wearing RWB. It seems TRobbo and Nick have gone very cold on him......his attitude and principals have let him down.
