As mentioned b4 he's also versatile to use if injuries arise or to enable Verrills or Rads to come off the field to recharge their batteries for the back-end of a game.

Brandon's defence is unquestionable. He's punishing and EVERY tackle is meaningful.

And above all, he's in his early 20's and will be a long term proposition to any roster. The only thing is the no dickheads policy. From what we can gather, Brandon is a character and has a GSOH which are likeable traits however, if he's up himself i don't know how that will rub up some of our other players?
    Thats what Rads already does
    Im confused.
Who would be your starting lock Cheese or Rads?
Just my opinion but Rads is the best & toughest lock in the game & over the last 2 years would have played SOO as the starting lock if he wasnt injured or suspended so I cant see the Cheese playing lock or coming off the bench to play lock.
He has stated the reason he is going to leave Melbourne is because he wants to be the number 1 number 9 at the club he plays for starting every game playing long minutes so for me if the Chooks did buy him it would be to play hooker. I dont think Verrills would stick around & nor would I if the Chooks bought Smith.

It all comes down to versatility Mickie and Brandon ticks all the boxes for me.
Yes you have a point with Rads and in no way would i want his game to suffer with Brandon in the squad. Rads can easily replace Boyd's style of edge play running off Keary's &/or Walker's passes and stinging defence rushing up and in.
On Sitili, well for mine i reckon he's still raw. His flipper hands and defensive errors each game are not up to standard nor improving and really pissing me off tbh. Is he feeling the pressure because we seemed to be getting better service from him off the bench.

Why would you play the game's best ball playing lock out of position?

I really think Sitilli is a bench player as well , he just doesn't do enough to occupy an edge position and his defence on 2nd efforts and anticipation have shown no improvement.

Has it been confirmed that Liu is off in 2022?
Ill go with the scenario that Liu & SST are elsewhere in 2022 so for me if the Chooks wanted to bring in a big name forward to replace 1 of them I would be looking at a battering ram style big front rower not another 13. Blokes like Finucane & Taumalolo are quality locks who do play a more prop style bash & barge game compared to say Rads & Murray so they probably could play as a frontrower but Im not sure if thats what either of those2 players would want.
So for me if the Roosters are going to entice a quality prop to the club it should be Hass. If you had JWH, Collins, Hass & Baker as your 4 bash & barge your looking pretty good your other props would be E Butcher & Taku Hau Tupuha. DSF & Ben Thomas. I think thats enough
Your 2nd rowers would be Crichton, Sitilli then Naufahu Whyte & N Butcher you could maybe play E Butcher or Fletcher Baker there also I think 2nd row is okay
Lock would be Rad no question for 80 minutes every week & you would have N Butcher for cover if needed. Do they need another ball playing style lock maybe but I think you would have to go after a no name or a player at the end of their career & coming cheap.
Hooker is the position that Robbo has to make a decision on because if the Chooks want to be a powerhouse Premiership contenders next year they have to go out & buy a top 10 player in the game which is B Smith. I think its another Cronk in for Pearce situation, Verrills is good but Smith is better & he would bring thrust & toughness like no other player. You cant buy B Smith & put him on the bench to interchange with Verrills or Rads, he wont come under those circumstance.

So in summary I think the Roosters should buy B Smith to play hooker & Hass to play prop. They would both demand big money alot more than what SST & Liu are on so Cords money would go towards them plus I think they would have to release Verrills leaving Lussick & Marschke as back up.

If all these rumours I've read on here about Liu, Toops and SST are true then maybe Robbo doesn't want to fall into the trap that Green made with the cowboys and was too loyal to the team that won a comp and played beyond their best years. Uncle Nick wouldn't be happy with what we are dishing up right now and he isn't one to stay idle if we aren't performing.
I've said before I don't like paying long contracts after a player has turned 28 because they have generally already played their best but want their biggest contract.

True however, imagine having players of equal substance plying their trade on either side of the field . Scary proposition and versatility plus ++++. Rads also covers other positions.
The way Mr RugbaLeague and co have manipulated our fine game has resulted in squads requiring masters of many trades. Keighran is a good example of this. The top teams like Storm and Panfers have this covered beautifully.

Looking at how we get dominated by other packs, I doubt Collins will put us ahead or even level with those packs next year. JWH and SST another year older.
I think we need one more decent forward at minimum and my vote goes in for Tapine.
And remember Radley is suspended for half the year now.
Tapine, TPJ and the cheese please.

Keep the honest players we have, like Liu and Toops, that's how you build a TEAM CULTURE... forget players other clubs want to get rid of.

Rubbish! No one hates Lam! Stop perpetuating a false narrative for his 'fan club' to latch onto. I and others just don't think he is good enough. It's not hate, it's an opinion. We could be right or we could be wrong... Time will tell.

Clearly is an idiot but any interest in signing Paul Vaughan? Probably on the outer at saints now - any chance we could turn his career and attitude around for a cut price?

I've been a fan of Vaughn for a while now, but one would seriously question the attitude with all that has happened. Could be a TPJ thing, dosent fit the Roosters.

Old man Rothfield seems to think he’s pretty toxic.

Agree. It’s not personal against little Lockie. I’d happily offer him a job working in my warehouse.
