SKD said on his twitter the doctor has rarely seen it in football. Freak injury. He wouldn't comment on how long he would be out for. Fingers crossed its only a minor laceration.

(I know that would work better if it were Braith with an injury, but I don't care.)

Pretty big blow. At least it was in the pre-season and not smack bang in the middle or at the end of the season. I'd run with:

        1. Mini
        2. BJ
        3. Taka
        4. Moga
        5. Perrett

It might be slow but I just think Taka is a better player than any of the other options at the moment.

Roosters' defense will instantly improve out wide now that SKD is out. There will be less handling errors, less dropped balls and generally less mistakes. There is a chance for other players to showcase their abilities and consolidate a spot in the centres.

So you want them to train like nancy-boys do you.. You need to train with the boys & toughen up yourself.. It's a tough contact sport, that needs tough contact training. They have already stated it was a 'freak accident' so therefore there would be no guarding against it...

              My guess is:

              1/ Mini
              2/ Moga
              3/ BJ/Carney
              4/ Maubs
              5/ Perrett

But SKD thinks he may be right for R1.

Hope SKD gets better soon. Bit of bad luck at the beginning of the season.

depends on the severity of the injury.i split my kidney in half during a game of football (Aussie rules) & spent 2 weeks in a high dependency unit & in intensive care. Was told to have 2 months of work & only light walking around house etc with no heavy lifting or no running for at least 2 months. This was 2 weeks out from finals & i recovered pretty quickly, lied to my coach that i was cleared & ended up playing 2 weeks after coming out of hospital, played 2 finals with no issues.Went back for checkup after & scans & injury had healed properly & doc told me the kidney would be as strong as normal & would take the same punishment again.maybe i was lucky with my healing etc & guess it all depends on the severity but id imagine in a higher contact sport that it would keep him out of action for maybe the first few rounds.heres hoping hes fine though & pulls throuigh ok
