I dare say that he's had stints there in the past but Manu was impressive at 5/8 in the final minutes last night but, then the fact that they were the final minutes may have had some bearing on that. Otherwise deja vu all over again - owned practically all over the field by a side buoyed by a 60+ result in the last encounter and by the sublime form of Mitchell (isn't there all sorts of trouble when he has ball in hand? He's doing the same thing for them that he did for our backline).
Let's not hear any more of those silly slag offs at Souths forwards. We were smashed and the injury toll attests to that. Time now for a little humility and realism but I think that we know that

That is a top 4 team and has a fair crack at the title imo.
We just need our bad luck with injuries to turn.
Find a way boys.
Go Easts.

Go Easts.
Swap Butcher for Liu.
King Gonzo I know Keighran is out.
I also know Friend, Cordner and Verrills have no return date.
But if injuries are kind to us and that team is available come semis then we have a great shot.Last edited by BUDDY; 03-27-2021, 12:04 PM.

Scans are in for Keary and Lam,
Scans have revealed the Roosters’ worst fears, with star halfback Luke Keary suffering a torn ACL that will end his season.
Keary met with medical staff on Saturday morning where he received the devastating news.
Adding to the Roosters’ woes is the additional news that fellow playmaker Lachlan Lam will miss the next four to six weeks with an MCL knee injury.
The loss of Keary and Lam will force coach Trent Robinson into naming a brand new halves pairing for their Round 4 clash with the Warriors next Sunday.
Rookie half Sam Walker, back-up Drew Hutchinson or centre Joey Manu are all under consideration to steer the side.
The Roosters will also closely monitor prop Lindsay Collins, who failed to finish Friday night’s clash with South Sydney after suffering a head knock.
Collins was in good spirits on Saturday but the Roosters will be taking no risks with his health.
In another blow, young forward Daniel Suluka-Fifita faces a two-game suspension after being charged by the NRL match review committee.
Suluka-Fifita has been slapped with a grade one striking charge after punching Rabbitohs star Jai Arrow in the back of the head during Friday night’s match.
‘REALLY TOUGH’: ROBINSON REVEALS ROOSTERS PAIN
By Matt Logue
Roosters coach Trent Robinson was shattered when asked about his side’s injury toll after their 26-16 loss to the Rabbitohs on Friday night.
“The way we played the game was really disappointing and then you load the (injuries) on top, you can imagine how it is going to be in the sheds,” Robinson said.
“Lindsay is pretty clear and he is OK (concussion), Lachy I think it is medial and Luke is ACL.”

Now it's time for young blokes to step up and Walker will slot in, might take him a few games or maybe not.....Vic still has to come in as well and Collins wont be out for long.
FMS folk putting up the white flag now, man I hope the players aren't taking that line. That line is way too easy....wanna whinge then we whinge about the job Souths done on us last night. Man we got shown up deluxe. Their go forward killed us and laid the platform for the backs. We go outplayed. Simple.
Cometh the hour Cometh the Man......step up young blokes and just give it a decent crack. I still reckon we finish in the 8. But the brilliant idea that we could take on 2021 without a goal kicker, not a brilliant strategy from day 1.
Have faith guys because this ain't nowhere near as bad as us after the 1980 GF loss.....the 80's whoa they were so bad but at least we're still gonna be competitive.
Also just checked the ladder and we are still running 2nd LolLast edited by Rooster1908; 03-27-2021, 09:29 PM.

They need a new style now plus some alternative plans- the sideways /cross field attack may have worked against teams with poor defence but it wont work against better teams and well prepared teams and especially when you don't go forward to earn that right as they say.
Chooks were going from A to C and skipped over B - Trying to play suit and tie footy when Overall Footy was required
