Awesome post, an JT white flag again....last time that happened we won the comp..

I know Lam is great, but surely we can overcome his injury..

I can’t remember which season featured the white flag.

But it’s a new day and I am looking forward to the Walker/Suualii era starting earlier than expected.

Every season has ups and downs. At least we build for the long term.

Souffs banking on Skeletor, he only builds squads to win while he is there. They might be premiership contenders this year but if they're successful, they will be waiting for Halley's comet again for the next one.

We are contenders at the beginning of almost every season.

A bloody tough night at the office, I have to say. Premierships are not won in March, but any serious injuries are a real setback, I can't get past that. Tomorrow is another day, but I am not sure where to from here.
This is one of the biggest challenges in Robbo's illustrious career to date.

After 2013, the rules were changed...funny about that.
Also, we had to rebuild.
Took 5 years to win another comp...life after SBW, Maloney, RTS etc.

Season over indeed. Such a tragedy on so many levels as its the Moz bros last season too.

Not an exaggeration that it's the worst night maybe in our entire history.

A week is a long time in politics, and football.
We won't win the comp every year.
1n 1966 we didn't win a game...not even one, not one game....nothing, zero.
2009 we got the wooden spoon.
We can make the 8, and maybe top 4.
Win the comp?
It is possible.

Man it's round 3 and no way seasons over for us. Keary is the biggie cause personally I reckon we played with 12. Sorry I don't rate Lam atm.

Now it's time for young blokes to step up and Walker will slot in, might take him a few games or maybe not.....Vic still has to come in as well and Collins wont be out for long.

FMS folk putting up the white flag now, man I hope the players aren't taking that line. That line is way too easy....wanna whinge then we whinge about the job Souths done on us last night. Man we got shown up deluxe. Their go forward killed us and laid the platform for the backs. We go outplayed. Simple.

Cometh the hour Cometh the Man......step up young blokes and just give it a decent crack. I still reckon we finish in the 8. But the brilliant idea that we could take on 2021 without a goal kicker, not a brilliant strategy from day 1.

Have faith guys because this ain't nowhere near as bad as us after the 1980 GF loss.....the 80's whoa they were so bad but at least we're still gonna be competitive.

After listening to Robbo’s presser last night I have renewed confidence our season is still well on track..

As he said, although it’s disappointing to lose Keary it’s exciting to look ahead and see who will take his opportunities to run the team for the rest of the year!

Hindsight is a good thing but I wish we had signed Benji for the peanuts it would have taken. I know he is a shit defender but to have had an experienced half just in case Keary went down would have been a good thing. Now we have to rely on a kid who has never played NRL before. I have full confidence in Walker but it’s going to take time for him to find his feet.

Any other coach basically would have grabbed the white flag off Johnny Tobin and waved it last night. But not our Robbo. Robbo is all class win lose or draw.

Real bummer but certainly not all is lost.

Personally, I would like to see Captain Teddy to go to 6; close to the action and can guide team and Walker as well as evolving into a great 5/8. Manu to FB with Suaalii to centre. If he goes well they could switch if FB is Suallii's thing.
Hate to say it but we missed Butcher last night and I would start him in 2nd row to tighten defence from the start bringing Sitili off bench. Hutch or Keighran on bench until Verrills returns.
Having said all that, that is my simple view. TIT rule still applies.

Losing Kez is a massive blow. No doubt about it. So now we find a way like Robbo said. Walker will definitely come into the team now joining Hutch in the halves. That’s all we can do until Keighan or Lam come back. Let’s not forget about Volkman. He will be elevated to the Bears I reckon to fast track him. He is only 18 but a good young player with a lot of potential.
I don’t think Robbo will change to many positions on the field. You don’t weaken one position by trying to strengthen another. I’m a bit worried about Lindsay. That was a bad concussion. Hopefully he won’t be out too long. Hopefully Rads back next game and Sammy V too. Don’t think there will be any further changes to the backline. Have to wait to see if Jared is charged. Could be without Fifita for a couple of weeks.
Way too early to be throwing in the towel. What I’ve seen of Sam Walker is very good. He’s a future star and will now get his opportunity. Let’s not expect him to be Keary Mach 2 though. Give the kid a bit of time.

100%. I was agruing this with my young bloke at the time. Sure past his best but some might say the same about the Moz boyz ( sorry). All history now and gotta go forward. What I now 100% in my core is that we have Robbo and I'd rather have him steering this boat than any other coach.

These blows, man they will either build character or show us what character the team has.
