I haven't seen anything that shows me
Latell is not still a Rooster.
If he's still here next... Monday? he reports for training.
Hopefully it will be with the first grade squad.
We need him playing left centre if we are to win the comp this year.
We need last year's team in place as far as possible.
Surely if we searched high and low,
walked the streets, looked in the teplephone book...we could find a third party sponsor for him.
    $200,000 pa.
    $3,846 per week.
Cheap marketing for a big co.

Isn't that the thing about third party deals , you can't market them , there nit like sponsors who advertise the facts, I reading it like giving someone money and not being able to tell anyone

Jan 1st was a date that the press claimed the Roosters wanted Latrell off the books by. It was never quoted by the Roosters. I would assume that the Roosters probably have wanted Latrell to give them an answer as to whether he is looking for a release by that date so they can plan the first training agendas. Unless there is a press release over the next few days, I would assume he will be at training on Monday.
As things stand for Latrell, unless Souths are secretly doing a deal with him atm where he will be offered the $1million to play fullback I can’t see any benefit in it for him to leave.
Also, if I were the Chooks I would have made it clear to Latrell that they are not going to be stuffed around and if he doesn’t ask for a release before training starts he won’t be getting one.

If all 2348 members on the Chookpen paid the annual $99 membership it would come to $232,452.00 & we could all then be his third party sponsor.

so when they go through the player rundown before each game on the big screen and they say player x sponsored by xxyy …. when they get to Latrell they will have to allow a couple of hours while they read out all his 2,000 sponsors

How about the ones that have 10-15 different accounts/names?

            • Can't have a TPA if you're connected to the player's club in any way?

Would be more entertaining than the usual rubbish they show us pre-game.

I’d rather Chris get the money. At least he is loyal for life to The Roosters.

                    • Mitchell lost me for good when he said it is a chore playing centre...with the most prestigious club in the NRL, back to back Premiers , surrounded by superstar players and a bunch of top blokes.
