Uncle Nicks opinion of Robbo will change very quickly if the team keeps dishing up performances like todays I suggest - Uncle Nick wanted to replace Mark Murray at the end of 1993 for instance - The Coach he wanted was still under contract- eventually he got him in late season 1994 - Phil 'Gus' Gould - Don't be surprised if Bellyache isn't mentioned in despatches as a possibility if a change is needed.

Might be mentioned but we will never pay that much for a coach.

Along with Chris Anderson’s one marker tactic, toops sitting on the bench for 70min in a major semi, is a tough one to split for who the smarter coach is.

IMO coaches should be encouraged to take risks within reason. Clearly the risk of not having Toops in thr GF was too great for Robbo so he took an unconventional step. Did,t pay off but it was worth the risk... with a full strength team we were a shot at winning that GF. Had we made it without Toops, we woulda been smashed like the Cows were.

The worst thing that happened last year was that we were out shited by so many other teams last year and affirmed too much of Trent’s coaching/tactical play.

No more confirmation than the void that currently exists between SST World Cup and his current play. I can’t directly quote on what our forwards are told to play, but it’s ineffective, restricting and arrogant. The whole ‘we will wear you down philosophy, evident after the cowboys loss last year and tigers first game this year particulalrly’ is more of the same from Trent. We have offloads and tackle busts in our forwards, but Trent’s system isn’t conducive to this.

If if I played in this side I would be bored shitless.

What history is that?

History shows that very few coaches have been able to get the wood on Trent Robinson over the course of his 5 year NRL career.



If he was being out thought so often like you suggest history shows then you'd have to think he'd really struggle against the same 'smarter' coaches time and time again.

No forward acquisition. We have a million dollar backline but a penisioner's forward pack.

our gameplan hasnt progressed much either, we look to still be playing a power game but we look far from the most powerful / strong pack ....we have no offloads, a bad hooker and worse captain, a guy n the wing liable to drop a high kick , poor defensive centres, appears we have poor defensive forwards too, poor discipline, poor ball control, ...i think we should all pray ...even if we win next week have we addressed our issues which are very obvious ...i dont see a late season charge in this team unless things really start to improve in some of these areas

Latrell is not a quantity output player. What you say isn't untrue because for centres in the NRL last year Latrell Mitchell ranked in the bottom third for average possessions per game.

However for centres, Latrell Mitchell ranked 1st in the NRL for Total Try Involvements per game last year, 1st in Avg Linebreaks & eqaul 1st in Avg tries per game.

The same argument can be made for Luke Keary. In 2017 Keary ranked in the bottom four 5/8's for average possessions per game yet amongst the 5/8's he ranked 1st in Avg Linebreaks, 1st in Avg Linebreak Assists & 1st in average Try Assists.

These aren't quantity players, they're quality players!!

Robinson is a genius, you're just too smart to see it!

Why? It's because he has to play to structures.
He should be allowed a roving role.
