How smart is Robbo?

In 2013 Robbo convinced almost everyone that he was a very intelligent guy. 5 years later I am not so sure. Did this guy ride the coattails of an awesome squad? Its hard to think but since 2013 we have been very inconsistent, at times unorganized and often unmotivated. His game plan seems simplistic and he also seems quite stubborn in his choices once he makes them. No doubt he has probably forgotten more than most of us know about the game but it is getting harder and harder to believe in him.

The commentators were recently going on about our shameful statistic - leading the comp for the most errors.
The same coach has presided over poor discipline. Go figure

That PF last year though was hard to take. Was Robbo arrogant or confident enough that he though we would beat the cowboys with 16 players including two backrowers playing in the centres. It seems staggering if true.

You can punch all Minor Premierships, semi finals etc if you just fold in the Semis as this team has done under Robinson for quite a few years now. The media is finally starting to ask questions of him also after coming across as untouchable for a few years

We have the same weaknesses in defence out wide, and now you can throw in offloads, and middle defence also. Did I mention no depth in the forwards or 3/4s.
And we all spoke about goal kicking being an issue this year. And last week , Latrell although being much improved this year, missed a pretty easy conversion that would have put us 8 in front.
IMO this season we will lose several more games that we’re expected to win.
There we have it my first official rant of the season, and Geeze it feels good to get that out of my system.
Please Guys, tell me I’m way off the mark, delusional, and that we will go undefeated for the remainder of the year, and we will make the top 4, top 2 even.

The team in 2013 had two things this year doesn't, Sonny Bill Williams and Michael Jennings. 20 minutes of SBW magic and a Jennings miracle try won that grand final. I don't see that in this 2018 team. Maybe if they get ClearJu and Crichton, we'll have an X-factor...next year.

How smart is Robbo? Well obviously he's smart enough.
if you want to the players who listen to the coach the most...listen for the word 'obviously' during their interviews. Hard to miss.
Aubbo used to start almost every sentence with it but he seems to have wizened up. Robbo loves to start a presser with it - usually after a loss though.
It will soon become obvious.
And when it disappears you will know they read the forum LOL :-)

As in 'evidently we didn't put them under enough pressure when the game hung in the balance'
Or even more radical for Robbo and way outside the structures would be the French word for obviously - évidemment.
Now - Let the interviews BEGIN!
