I wonder how Pearce would have gone in the 2nd half of that game when the chips were down... we would have lost; but hey that's good as it means one less GF loss?
And what about the selective use of stats? You didn't mention that we never missed the top 6 in 9 seasons with Freddy and were mugs before and after. Where as we've had some diabolical seasons during Pearce's time.
Comparing Pearce and Freddy using stats is the ultimate example of how deceptive stats are. I mean Shane Perry and Chad Townsend have as many GF wins at halfback as Thurston. Are they his equal?
