Believe it or not I think the fans on here are a lot more knowledgeable and especially level headed than the collection of loons responding on the Roosters Facebook. The bar isn’t that high but I’m calling it.

I wonder what Braith Anastas Wallet and Boogie think of it?

Nah, they don't even have a membership.

Boogie is in his bedroom playing with his phone trying to get a date on Tinder while hoping his Dad lets him have a turn on Dad's Yoda smoker....

Agree, the bar is a lot higher here, but we shouldn't get ahead of ourselves lol.....

Players come and go; it's the jersey and the club we fall in love with forever.

It really is embarrassing, isn't it?

The club pulled off a trade which saw us land the best half in the game while somehow also managing to free up $1 million in cap space..... and they are crying about it.

These idiots would complain about finding $50 on the street

Interesting posts, yes Pearce has been here a long time, but its true to say his game reached a certain level, and never progressed past that even after extensive training by the likes of Freddy and Johns, and it was that missing skills that have held us back. I also wish him well wherever he ends up, but it was his decision in the end to move on, he was offered the chance to play along side one of the greats, and hopefully pick up the tips that would take him to that next level, so its not our fault as a club.
I think SBW will return to the club again at some stage in the future, but not as a player, more as a player mentor, to teach them the off field skills that will help them progress their game to higher levels.
We desperately need a gun frontrower, I don't know where we can find one, but there must be one out there somewhere. Its going to be an interesting season coming up.

I am tearing up my membership boo hoo hoo

The club has no loyalty ohh ohh ohh

I hope Cronk fails moan moan moan

Players and officials come and go. Fans are the only one in this long time. And fans that carry on like that ain’t no fans at all. Piss off and follow Manly if the player meant more to you than the club does.

Edit: Spellchecker changed “only” to “kinky” in the last para. I should have left it.
JT, they're ignorant fools. **Though, probably slightly poor timing to start the 18,000 members in 2018 campaign staring Mini.

They are also paying out on Cronk something Fierce (which rhymes with Pearce )

Anyone, have any idea what the Manly fans are saying on their forum. Probably just like everywhere else - Lovers & Haters.

Great Rooster spine next year (understatement of the century).

                      Pearce chose to leave.
Uncle Nick wanted to make him a better player, take him to the next level.

                      DT today:

"“It’s a very sad day for the club but I could understand",” Politis said. "“All I wanted to do was make him a better player.

“He’s a very, very good halfback but I wanted him to be a great one like (Johnathan) Thurston, Andrew Johns and even (Cooper) Cronk.

“He needed to go to the next level.”"

But Pearce had made his mind up.

Politis said Pearce told him he only wanted to play halfback in the chief play-making role.

That No.14 off the bench as a back-up in the halves or at hooker was of no interest.

Kicking out on the full, and firing that soccer-like, rocket-like slammer kick into the in-goal...when a deft kick to get a repeat set was needed in the finals probably sealed Pearce's fate at 7 on a permanent basis with us.
Radio commentators were critical of that kick...and others of his.

Sorry [well not sorry actually], but innocuous kicks straight into the fullbacks' arms on the 5th tackle are not what's required in today's game.

                        High and spiralling bombs are.
Also deft kicks into the in-goal for repeat sets are.

Never been a Pearce fan. But this is one of the most ruthless things I've seen this club do. Make no mistake Pearce was forced out the door his position was untenable once Cronk was signed. The we wanted to make him better is rubish WE just wanted a better and more composed halfback. It is the ruthlessness I think that has made fans upset about this. Personally I think we will be a better team for it but as one supporter whom I know has said, we have sold our soul, and whilst that is a bit dramatic I understand the sentiment
I respect all our moderators here. Past present and even future. Always have done and always will do a wonderful job.

Hopefully all this means Keary stays. I'd rather lose Pearce than Keary.
