I also read Jordan Kahu is off contact at the Broncos. Would he be worth looking at as a goal kicking winger? I know he made a big blunder early in the year which was all over the rugby league news but I'm not really sure of his ability as a player other than as a goal kicker.
    Kahu re-signed with the Broncos

This season Toups is fighting hard in every single tackle. In previous seasons he only did on occassion.
I'm very happy he will be with us for another 4 years.

It was a close thing as Parra chased Toops hard to replace Semi R and it looked like he would leave as they offered more- Fergo well he is wanting centre money and the Dragons /Knights/Tigers are offering this which he wont be offered at the Roosters - Has some off field issues to consider and has recently moved in with Choc Mundine as a result

Glad toups turned his season around and deserves being re-signed.

cant see Fergo staying. We signed the better value option. I'm pleased

Thanks Salvo. The Sunday Telecrap I think said he was still unsigned. There was an article about the Broncos struggling to re-sign a lot of their backline due to salary cap pressure. The article was about Roberts but it also mentioned Kahu, Boyd and Moga as also still remaining unsigned.

Moga's off to Newcastle - Roberts/Kahu/Boyd will be re-signing if not already re-signed- Broncos have the luxury of an endless TPA stream

If I recall correctly the last time Toops was re-signed he went on to have a career best end of the season. Lets hope it happens again

Excellent.....i got 4 years of backing the winger he is marking scoring a try. Collecting cash helps offset the upset when the Roosters lose. Its been a cash cow this year!!

This deal was agreed a long time ago. There was no Eels deal. The club has held off on submitting this and Gordon's deal as they awaited confirmation of the salary cap for next year.

Exactly, they had to hold off just in case the cap ended up settling at around 8.5. The latest NRL offer indicates it will be at least 9 for your top 25 since they are offering a cap of 9.5 for a 30 player list. It may end up being more yet, Smith and the RLPA reps walked out on a meeting with the NRL having rejected that offer today I believe.

Tupou is making up for his woeful season last year.

If he maintains this form he will be a major weapon for the next four years.

Especially if what Archer said about getting tough on blockers is true. Only three years too late. But don't get too excited. Those "crackdowns" have a very short shelf life.

like the strictness of playing the ball after a tackle? that lasted around 3 weeks before referees stopped monitoring it last year
