watson did play ealry in the season and in fact he replaced a injured nikorima on anzac day. watsons speed and enthusiasm/ attitude was the most impressive of any the 10 or 11 debutants and in particular showed up some so called senior players. no fan of nikorima fan - i dont think he has got what it takes but sure as hell he confirmed his freeloading qld mentality when he was overseas during the u/20 semis and gf.

Actually I think it was Matterson who replaced Niko on Anzac Day. Watson made his debut in Round 7 on a rainy Monday night against the Rif.

Delighted he found a home. If the powers that be did not want him at the Roosters, also happy we offloaded him. Win Win.
SoH, thank for your efforts and I hope it does not come home to hurt us i. Future years

              Good luck to him.

I had hoped that the fairytale would pan out and the son of one of my favourite Roosters players ever would make his own way in our colors, but it was not to be....

There's a lot to like about his game, but his lack of pace was a concern....

Hope it works out for him, but Manly are a bit of a train wreck at the moment. Getting rid of Matt Parcell was dumb, but I suppose they had to free up cap space to get SOH....

I wonder what this means for Copley now, supposedly we are under the cap now by one player. Would we move him on (titans) for more cap space or better to keep for depth as we're probably not going to sign anymore players at this stage?

Good riddance to the little upstart. Go spread your politics on The Northern Beaches. Great to see the club ridding itself of this garbage.

I gotta say when I read that I thought God I hope the Roosters get him.

Yet picking up tetevano, carter and knight? The club is doing anything but clearing rubbish.

Do you think his future is in the halves long term or elsewhere?

I reckon you could play him just about anywhere mil. He is just made for football.
My brother split with his ex wife with whom he had 2 kids 18 years ago &; she moved with the kids down to Sussex Inlet. Their eldest son my nephew is now 21 played junior footy in the Illawarra area while he was growing up &; he always used to tell me about this Jack Bird kid that was coming through the ranks. He played alot as a lock when he was coming through but not like a lock in the NRL who are like a third front rower more like a second 5/8 but because of his toughness he played in the forwards.
