  • TYLER TO THE TITTANS

Tyler Cornish has a gig up at the tittans for 2017 2018 as the 6 or 7. I find it funny we put this guy through our jnr system and we never used him. He has been around for years. Good luck to him and his first grade appearance against the roosters in March 2017 @cbus.

But we just signed his brother, I figured they wanted to be together.

THIS is getting confusing. I would personally HATE to be a fringe half with the RWB, the team just came 15th and you still have no chance of playing for the firsts!! Are they all coming over to get trained up by Joey or something?

Great depth but you really wouldn't want Pearce or Keary to get injured (that's with all due respect to Watson BTW). What's our plan?

He went through the Canberra junior system not ours. May have done 1 year in SG Ball but I don't think so

Canberra didn't rate him and let him go, that's why he ended up with us. He was never going to be good enough to play NRL and will end up one of those guys who ply's his trade in the NSW Cup for most of his career

Mitch Cornish is a Roos player on a dual contract, yes our reserve grade team wanted a half... shock.

And a combination of Kane Elgey/Ash Taylor will be the halves at the Titans so Tyler doesn't have a gig as the 7 or 6 at Titans atm.

Sorry to add a bit of proportion & context to the comments so far, I know it's off-season but seriously people getting their knickers in a knot about 2 reserve grade halves is ridiculous.

R6. I think that's trivialising the issue. The big picture, I feel is our overall recruitment over past 24 months

LG still hasnt gone to tittans training. He smashed up his acl pretty badly at the start of 2016 and didnt return.
Do the titts have a goal kicker. hayne????

Tyrone Roberts will start before Cornish, so unless they lose 2 of their top 3 halves, the only thing that will change for Cornish is that he will be playing Q cup instead of nsw cup.

Elgey returned to training at the end of last season, Jaryd Hayne came out a few days ago to say how impressed by what he was seeing from Elgey.

Cornish has been signed as a backup not as the starting 6 or 7.

The bigger picture is without doubt where the frustration is coming from but this thread isn't about that. It's about 2 reserve grade halves and a bunch of posters trying to make it into something its not.

Very strange indeed, both the Cornish boys are good kids, but no where near first grade quality players, its doing my head in the latest signings, how Brisbane can sign any player without any real check on salary cap situation has my mind in a spin, I am sadly beginning to believe that rugby league as we know it, has a time limit to survive, time to consider taking up lawn bowls, as the people running the NRL leave a lot to be desired.

I really hope this is satire otherwise you've taken the outrage culture to a whole new level.

I was wondering who Tylor was when I read the heading - thought perhaps you meant the Charlie Taylor who's been spoken of recently!! Or even that they'd lost their marbles and taken Dave Taylor back, even though he's trialling with the Raiders.

Second tier player who will make his way around plenty of clubs by the time his NSW/Qld Cup career is over. And let's face it, that's what it will be, as he is not NRL level on a weekly basis. He might cadge the occasional NRL game if his club hits injury crisis, but it will have to be one hell of a crisis ...
