How good is Morts going?

Nearly beat the Broncos? Severely under-rated as always IMO. I still remember one year when we were down against the Broncos... he took us by the scruff of the neck and pulled us over the line for a win.

Did the same against Manly in one of our off years, but the farkwit refs called his amazing match winner a 'no try' (because it was rigged). Still angry about that because he really stepped up and shoulda been given credit where due instead of a lousy 'fark off - no try' from some arrogant tool of a ref.

Coote will stay at the Cowboys.
He would have been a great pick up for this year. He is playing with such confidence I'd say he's the best fullback running around this year slightly ahead of Tedesco.
But it would be silly to buy him now. We've blooded Mitchdll and we need to stick with him

Disagree about Ethan. He was a standout forward in our SG Ball & NYC teams. Scored plenty of tries playing on the edge. He and Asiata were always going to be special players wherever they played but unfortunately for us at the time, there were others in their way. You can't keep them all.

Ethan Lowe was also the captain as well wasn't he? It was a shame that we lost both John Asiata and Ethan Lowe as well as Curtis Rona who I believe should have been given a first grade oppurtunity instead of Tautau Moga but as you say we are unable to keep all of the players.

Ethan Lowe is a beast. Workaholic who can find the line. Everything Guerra was? Actually no, even at Guerras best I couldn't say he was a workaholic. As for coote, he won't stay at the cowboys. They don't have the coin for him and they have some superstars coming through the ranks. They're very much in the position we were last year and they will have to let players go.

Lowe is and always was going to be a top first grader. I had a massive wrap on him when he was in our 20's. I thought he would be our next Fitzgibbon. Norman is also a classy player. I have no idea what people see when watching games. Pearce is on 700k, yet some think Norman is worth only 200. I will say Norman is a more complete player than Pearce and would be a great pick up for any team.
