For what it's worth I have been told he is doing the right thing. He has a steady relationship and has moved in with her. He pulled out of a trip away with some pals that in the past would have been a problem. For the first time in his life he is getting some stability and the club is a big part of that. All the players and coaches are massively impressed by him. And the best thing is that Souffs thought they had him before we swooped in.

Carney's **** ups also tore the club apart and made us a laughing stock. We lucked into some big recruits to get out of it but that golden run of recruitment comes around once in a blue moon.

I want the club focused on being consistently successful for a decade, not trying to patch together a good side every 4-5 years with periods of complete shit in between. The club will not grow its fan base and financials living like that, and eventually will be left behind by a game that is on a road to serious professionalism and dollars in the coming 10 years
