Can't say he's all that consistent/talented... or that he's mates with SBW. SBW and Mundine split... and Mundine's a Souffs/QLD man.

Let Fergo play for both, he's a disgrace.

Only looked 1/2 good against us because we played all of our ball to the opposite side and were low on numbers for his side. If he was being marked by Jennings and Tupou, he would have looked like the ill-disciplined fool he is.

We have enough money invested in backs, with a few young superstar backs coming through. I think we need to invest in a couple of forwards, a big prop and wide running back rower.

I think it's the other way around!

We have plenty of talented forwards. Napa, Evans, Langi, Liu, to go along with the established guys in JWH, Moa, Cords, Aubo, FPN, LOD, Guerra as well as Casty.

It's the backs that we lack depth. Moga has had back to back ACLs and Nene McDonald is a little raw. Outside of those two we're very thin for back ups.

Say we do sign a depth back who only cost a portion of the money left over, think there is much chance that the club will leave much of the cap sitting there doing nothing? Might happen if some players who recently signed long term deals like Cordnder and RTS have deals where there salary increases over time

I hope they consider that option, for sure.

I know there are cap increases on the horizon, but there will be a lot of quality players requiring significant pay rises.

Not just the youngsters like RTS, Cordner, Napa, Evans and Langi (if the latter 3 develop as we hope) but also some of the established (and still young!) guys in JWH and Friend - our two most important players imo.

Both are close to the best in the NRL in their positions and will be seeking 500k contracts soon enough. And deservedly so.

SBW is a freak, no doubt. But I do believe we have enough talent within the club to remain a constant Premiership threat.

Especially if Napa, Langi, Moga and Evans become the stars we hope. Ideally SBW will stay for one more year before these guys mature to take over the reigns.

That'd be the prefect scenario. No signings required.

Yep now that I'm thinking of it, I'd prefer SKD to stay, he is one of my favourites.
