  • Fergusson would be the best centre at the club if he signed.

That's a hard temptation to knock back especially if what he says is true and he's not just going to sign for top dollar, he wants to go somewhere so he can settle down.

Q: Why did Blake Ferguson go on to the rooftop?

A: Because the drinks were on the house.

          • I'm sick of our club being used as a halfway house for wayward boys. We've finally found our way to the top of the tree again and why should we pander to damaged goods? If we were desperate to build a roster of players like Parra and Wests are to restore some semblance of credibility in the competition I'd say maybe, but surely we are above this sort of headline harry these days? Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. We were burned by Toddy and that still hurts for me.

I am with you RWB. I doubt this bloke can turn his behaviour around before his peak quality of football starts declining

He is a dog after what he has done to David Furner. The coach backed him and went out on a limb for this kid and he shat in Furners face, total disregard for another human being let alone his coach and he has no idea of what loyalty means.

If he wasn't dead, you could ask Graham Murray what Fittler and his running buddy did to him in 2001.

What are you talking about? There's been no suggestions that Ferguson did anything to get Furner sacked.

Take your head out of your rear, the rumours are the players revolted because they were pissed off about Ferguson's poor attitude and disregard for the club rules, he was missing from the Dogs game because of an injury complaint and ended up partying with mates on booze at a few of his local holes. The players were complaining against the poor attitude of both Dugan and Ferguson for many months and as a result Dugan was cut lose but Ferguson was retained on the back of Furner's advice and guarantees to the players and board that he would come good. Ferguson repays his coaches loyalty and faith in him by acting like a lair and than asking for a release to Join a Sydney club, great loyalty lol.

From all reports it was the other way around. Furners continual support of Ferguson was a sore point with the other players.
That was the breaking point and has been coming for about 12 mths.

To be absolutely fair, short of Papali and Fensom and the former Dugan, there's not much to throw yourself on a hand grenade in the way of talent at that club.

They need someone of Mortimers calibre, and Buttris as their lock. Ohh and their halfback McCrone as their hooker. Like us. We need friend at lock, Pearce at 9 and Mortimer to start. That would make us number 1........

Lol @ Canberra have no talent.
