someone said that of late, ferguson has been reminding them of inglis in the way he plays.

I reckon yes. these players don't come around very often, it would be a shame to see him develop into a superstar player at another club, seeing him tear us apart as he did for Canberra on Saturday night. he nearly won that game on his own, and that was after a 2 month lay off. imagine what he could do once he gets rid of all the sh*t in his life.

      IMO yes.
When mini leaves the backs would be
      1. RTS
      2. Toups
      3. Jennings
      4. Fergo
      5. SKD/Moga
      6. Jimmy
      7. Junior

      That is some backline

Ferguson is now rumoured to be in strife for drinking at the weekend when injured.
        Do we need the bother?

        Although, we 'saved' Jennings.

Less than four years ago, Jake Friend was a pill stealing, heading for the scraphead 19 year old. Four years later, he's replaced Simon Bonetti as the best hooker since Xavier Hollander.

I thing theonly reason he keeps getting in trouble is he wants to be sacked so he doesnt lose out on the contract value he signed for.

              Same as dugan did.

Why we would want any player at our club that would do this is beyond me.

He would be the new Carney to all the papers and every time he or any Rooster player farts in an incorrect manner... we will be blasted all over the news.

I don't want that again for our club.

He needs to go to AA not to the roosters.I hope that he can sort out his problems but Canberra needs to take a hard line with him.He needs to want to straighten himself out, well meaning uncles and footy clubs can have a place to play in his rehab but until he is put in a position like Jake was and come to realize what he has lost and then hopefully decides to do something about it we don't need him at the roosters. You have to admire Jake for what he has achieved as a person as well as a footballer he will be the next Australian rake imo.

Is the conversion to islam off again now?

It was only last week 'uncle Anthony' had supposedly sorted him out.....

Why would we want this train wreck anywhere near the place?

                      • Trust In Trent's Strategies! If Robbo decides to get him, then I will back Robbo to turn his life around and get the best out of him as a footballer and as a man!

His talent is not in dispute as he has enormous amounts. Yes his character at this point in time is very questionable, but that can be turned around given time if he is surrounded by the right people in a good environment which he would get at the Roosters.
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

                        Here's looking at you, kid.

                        • EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Money not important in next deal, Blake Ferguson tells Phil Roth

BLAKE Ferguson has a message to the five NRL clubs chasing his signature for 2014 and onwards - money is not all that important to him.

He insists happiness and turning his life around means far more to him than the size of his bank balance for his immediate future.

The Roosters, Sharks, Eels and Bulldogs are all keen to chat to him and his minder Anthony Mundine about next season.

"I don't care about the money," he said, "It's about happiness. "I'll get my head sorted and get back to doing what I do best and play football.

"The whole year has taken a big toll on me. I'm the first to admit I've played up a bit.

"I've just got to get out of the rut I've been in and move forward. That's what I've been working on with Choc."

He loves the time he spends with these youngsters, away from the spotlight and glare of the NRL.

They are also the extra motivation and inspiration to sort his life out.

"I owe to grassroots football because I know a lot of these kids idolise me," he said.

"I have been setting a bad example but I want to change that. I can't keep playing up and giving them the wrong impression."

A meeting with superstar Sonny Bill Williams over dinner at an Eastern Suburbs restaurant last Sunday night has given him new hope.

"I've met Sonny Bill him a few times," he said, "You go back to when he was a young guy in football before he left overseas.
"He was a bit of a problem child too. I look at him and think, if he can do it, I can do it.

"It's going to take a lot of commitment and I'm willing to do that. I can't just say that, I've got to do it."

As for his immediate future, Ferguson says he is still hopeful of playing for the Raiders again this year, possibly even on Sunday against the Raiders.

He still hasn't spoken to his team mates since Dave Furner was sacked earlier this week over his support for the troubled centre.

He says, as far as he is concerned, there is not an issue with the players who went to management to complain about Furner's leniency with player discipline.

"I don't see it as a problem," he said, "I haven't seen them since Monday. I've been in rehab, they've been in Batemans Bay.

"I just want to get my injury right and then help the team win the last three games.

"I spoke to the coach (Andrew Dunemann) and told him I'm doing everything I can to play with my physio and rehab.

"That's all on my mind right now ... the last three games.

"We've got massive talent in the team and if we get into the finals, we can beat any team

He was the greatest recruit from Canberra this club ever made. I want Blake to be the second.

If you think back to last weeks player forum Robbo mentioning we were in need of an outsied back, one week later the NSW origin centre becomes available.
No way our club will let it pass by me thinks.
