SBW offers half his contract oney for the Roosters to sign Cooper
Seeing as pearce will chuck a tantrum if he plays anywhere but no. 7, Maloney at hooker to replace to 'slow' and 'stupid' service friend gives.
And if copper does sign, that has to be the end of minichiello. He can't keep running around with 3 marquee players squashed into 2 spots and a potential super star on the wing
Maloney at hooker,LOL.A dummy half that cannot tackle equals splinters from a certain wooden spoon. The same spoon which you deserve to be spanked with for suggesting the idea...

Teach him to tackle. Ain't hard.
Ant Mitchell isn't a big tackler, neither is James segeyaro, nafe seluini. Some of you were calling for Mortimer to play hooker and he can't tackle.

For me the salary cap is basically in place to stop the Broncos from winning the comp every year, thats why I support it.
I think the salary cap essentially keeps them in a position of strength.. They have the ability to have players paid through outside means meaning they can easily get around the salary cap in a way most other clubs do not have access to.
Welcome Quade. If sonny is prepared to give back half of his salary to the club to make Quade a rooster this will happen. This is a very good gesture by sonny,so much for him being driven by money anybody who is prepared to give a few hundred thousand dollars away so that a mate can play in the same footy team is not a mercenary imo.
I was actually stunned when I heard what SBW said. But then I thought I actually have always believed & have posted in the past that SBW is a very loyal person & that he would do anything for family or friend.
The whole Bulldog scenario & his exit from the game was based on loyalty. The Bulldogs were disloyal to him so he walked away.
He could of stayed there & gone through the motions for 400k a year for 5 years but instead he walked away & payed the NRL or the Bulldogs 750k compensation & backed himself to succeed in another sport that his manager managed to get him a very lucrutive contract in.

Yer but at least they are monitored. If there was no salary cap the Broncos would have the best side as it is at the moment.
Brisbane is the League heartland & they would be able to attract every Qld to there side & once the winning starts then every player in the comp would want to play there. Winning teams attract rep players, rep players rightfully get paid more than players who dont represent.
Are you more optimistic about our prospects in '13 than you have been for the last few years??..
Well I was right about last year. SBW is a great player and we need great players. I still believe we need more talent as we have a lot of nuffies. SBW can't do it all himself. If we make the 8 I'll be happy.
I keep telling you , Pearce has signed a two year deal with Saints from 2014, let that sink in once and for all, and see why why things are happening behind the scenes.

I dont disagree with what you have said but from my point of view letting what you have suggested happen will run the risk of clubs going broke.
Some may say bad luck & it's easy to say that if your club is not on the chopping block.
At the end of the day IMO if Rugby League wants to be able to pay each players 1 million plus per season then the comp could probably only generate enough money for about 6 clubs.
So yes the salary cup disadvantages the super clubs but it would be pretty boring with only 6 teams in the comp.
Not really. Smart clubs wouldn't get in over there head.
Also, it would allow the club to use sponsorship dollars to pay players direct. A whole heap of third party deals that don't have to be approved by the NRL.
