Keary, premiership winning 6.
They are not the problem..
Most of this is no fault of his as he was always a running half with a short kicking game.. The fault lies with recruitment for not bringing the Pearce / Cronk style half that we need to the club.
On Robbo, it’s like the game has past him by, all the teams that are doing well are the ones that do the basics well, high percentage plays with low unforced errors..
ALL the other teams are staying down and playing for the penalty game except us and that coupled with our usual high error rate is always going to kill us.

Walker needs to create on the right to bring Joey Manu and the Dominator (Dom Young) into the game more, as if not, it's left up to Keary and Tedesco, who will continually be heavily marked by the opposition, as was the case in the Storm Game.
You are right though that neither Keary nor Walker are organising/game manager halves; Sandon Smith is, and Hugo Savala is and also a rarity as he can do both roles: running half and organising/game manager half. A very tall half - good kicking game and also a goal kicker

It’s not the first time I’ve thought so and made notice of it in another thread. The other was about pressure in acknowledging and celebrating Jennings 300 games. Weidler’s column on Sunday somewhat confirmed it. It’s a ‘tell’ to me and I find his press conferences compelling viewing, especially for the language.
His dismissal of the Herald journo, Dan Walsh, was particularly interesting. It showed he is feeling the pressure and was defensive of Tedesco when Dan asked a ‘clumsy’ question regarding fitting Manu and Tedesco into the same team.
I thought the teak started the Storm game well and were gaining the ascendancy by playing direct. As is the Roosters way (credit to the Storm) they started playing laterally and lost their way. It wasn’t until Manu’s second half switch in attack, that any of the backs played straight.
And that is the key, direct play through the middle. Batter the middle from centre to prop. Maintain the focus and possibly hold the ball too

Have a look at the ladder.
We have the fourth best points differential.
If a few calls went our way in the Manly, Bulldogs and Storm games we could have won all three.
That puts us on 12 points and equal first - second on points differential.
I think it's a bit early to be calling for a new coach.

Even if you look at Kez's game last week...both try assists, two try savers on Shawn Blore and Papschmeer. Good kicking game with a coordinated kick chase which was quite effective. Yes we know he hasn't got the big boot...however..Has done ok for a team with only one kicker and all the playmaking responsibilities last two weeks.
A few are getting doey goo luv eyes for Sandon only cos the poor bastard hasn't played enough games in the halves for them to get their claws out. Our supporters kill our halves historically. All of em. Dumbos.
