Why is it that we’ve had almost a complete turnover of our roster over the years yet are still one of if not the most error prone team in the comp? I reckon if we were given the entire Penrith team that in a matter of a few months it would become the most error prone side in the comp guaranteed. How can we change this as it’s costing us? We sign two players, they both get suspended one very lengthy. Does anyone at Easts have a clue how to fix these ongoing problems instead of just blaming the refs?“Soon will the present day order be rolled up, and a new one spread out in its stead”- (Baha’u’llah)

Apart from Friend and Cordner? Latrell? the Morris boys?
Love Jake btw … but he wasn’t exactly an Origin stalwart you know
So who exactly have we lost that has been so debilitating to us? this team has been stacked every year since 2019 … where do you think all this salary cap sombrero bullshit comes from? people are envious of our lineup every single year … and you’re saying it’s still not good enough for top 4?
F*ck me … talk about a company drone sniffing the throne

Absolutely we have a squad that should be challenging for the premiership every year and our results should’ve been much better the last few years rather than just stumbling into the eight.Last edited by Thirteen; 04-28-2024, 08:32 AM.

Seems to me you left out the influence of Cronk on the field. And on field general I would say is crucial. I don't see the Storm having won anything since Cronk and Cam Smith left. And don't forget the massive injury toll year on year. We've been at the top of the pile despite all that.

Cronk was always a 2-year deal to get an already very good team over the hump … which he remarkably did … his absence is not the reason we’ve slid down the table every single year since

As much as I like Cam Smith imo people make too much of the individual players. The Storm are a well-coached machine and every player is a replaceable cog in that machine. They "couldn't win" after the salary cap scandal and did. They "couldn't win" after losing Cronk and Slater, and did. Definitely no chance after Cam Smith and desperately unlucky not to. Much like us, they are now at the point where they lost their entire premiership forward pack as well (Bromwich's, Kaufusi, Finucane) and it will take time to rebuild.
