Yep. Bill Harrigan gave us the penalties 9-0 that night. Gordie whinged to him about it towards the end of the game and Bill replied, just get your team to stop infringing and I can stop penalising them.

Harrigan was the last of the fair refs before the dawn of the game manager.

Yes, the footy tab pick the margin jackpot was a tick over 2 million. . There were 3 live tickets up to that point of the game for this last game of the round: 1 had a draw, 1 Roosters 1-12, and another one, Broncos 1-12.

The person who had the draw would be cursing Andrew Gee still to this day. - Minutes away from being a multi millionaire - 78.53 when it happened - maybe Brisbane would have got in range for a field goal attempt in that last set of the game?

8-2 the penalty count in the prelim in 2002 - 9 -0 penalty count in the 1996 game vs Brisbane - Monday Night Footy

I would never have got over that. Back then $2m could’ve probs let you retire with a couple of good house investments

It was worse imo, Dom Young was racing in and made a decision on a live play, the Eels grub hit a stationary Watson flush on the head after the tackle was completed.....

Honestly what a disgrace- he was the 3rd player in and whacked him right on the noggin. Theres absolutely no doubt if that was Jarryd or Rads it would have been a send off

Harrigan started enforcing the 'dominant' tackle before it came a rule. He was good Billy H.

                          • Stephen Crichton direct should to the head of RTS- no attempt to rap the arm at all. RTS gets wobbly legs, goes off to the head bin and is rated a category 1. Just a penalty and on report.

Its good news for Rads and JWH- they can target aim a bit higher when defending without being sent to the sin bin let alone sent off!

Just about to post the same thing. Different game, different team, different enforcement of the same rules.
